Task 2: Some countries allow old people to work to any age that

they want. Do the advantages outweigh the disadvantages?

In our modern era, senior workers are permitted to optionally

continue or quit their jobs in some places in the world. In my
opinion, the advantages can surpass the disadvantages; despite
a lack of job opportunities for younger generations, this allows
the seniors keep going with the passions in their careers.
On one hand, the lack of job opportunities can be easily seen in
this situation, it can be harder and harder for young people to
apply for jobs if the amount of the seniors still working is too
high. As a result, this may cause snowball damages to the
economy of countries. In addition, people over working ages
cannot practices tasks effectively as they used to. The reason is
that the older they get, the less flexibly they are able to solve
problems.
On the other hand, it is a positive thing if the seniors are
allowed to work longer. First, they can continue their passions
with their jobs; some of them may feel bored if they retire, and
they still love working as well as contributing to their careers.
Moreover, full of experiences, the seniors can independently
practice tasks, which means do not rely too much on other
employees. Despite being too old to continue jobs, they can do
moderate works with medium level, and also pass down
techniques and tips to the younger workers.
Overall, the lack of job opportunities can be a drawback when
the seniors are able to keep working, but the younger workers
will have chances to cooperate and learn many things from the
seniors in jobs.
Task 2: Many people are working longer hours. Why is this
happening? What problems can this cause to people?

Nowadays, a large amount of employees work over the time

required. In my opinion, I think that they must work longer to
earn more money for their living standard; however, their
health can be affected if they keep doing this.
To begin with this situation, there are many reasons why
people continue diving into jobs; mostly for money. In our
modern era, earning money is the largest burden of life to have
enough living conditions and improve living standards. So that
the desires for better life have pushed many people to madly
work for money. Moreover, many jobs today required a lot of
tasks to be finished, and workers have to spend much time to
complete everything before the given deadlines. Furthermore,
many employees want to reach higher positions in their
workplaces; as a result, they work and work to bring higher
productivity and impress their managers.
However, they can have health problems if they work too
much. To complete tasks before the deadlines, most of them
have to skip their meals and even sleeping to have enough time
for a long time, consequently, sickness and stresses are
unavoidable elements. In addition, working too much means
that they cannot spend time for families and relaxing. With that
being said, they cannot enjoy happiness and also work with less
efficiency. It is recorded that divorces caused by members focus
too much on jobs instead of families have a very large ratio.
In conclusion, working overtime gives more chances to earn
money, but this practice can directly affect the health of
workers and make it hard for them to enjoy their lives.
The pictures below show the process of making clothes
from recycled plastic bottles.
The diagrams show the steps to produce clothes from recycled
plastic bottles. There are various stages in the process from
collecting the bottles to having clothes as the end result.
It is begun with gathering plastic bottles, and they are loaded
on trucks to transport to factories. There, they are sorted and
cut in a shredding machine. Then, they go through another
machine, a washer, before they are put in a container and let
dried by sun light for 10 hours. After that, they are moved to a
boiler to be melted down.
Next, the melted material is strained and made into yarns. The
yarn is transferred to be woven into suitable fabric to make
clothes. The fabric is rolled into skein and ready for the
manufacturing clothes step.
Overall, it takes many stages to turn recycled plastic bottles into
fabric for clothes.
