Activity #1

Advice and Feedback

Core values are also known as foundational values, and these are our inner strengths that make
each one of us special. Common values include integrity, honesty, diligence, discipline and
accountability.

Each of us harbours a different set of values. which define the things that are really important to
us. Our main values may be supported by several related values.

When we begin to live lives that are out of sync with our values, we begin to experience stress
and conflict. This is because we are not getting what we want mentally, emotionally and
physically.

Activity #2

Advice and Feedback

Limiting beliefs originate from our experiences and relationships and refer to opinions and
judgements that we form about ourselves.

They are hidden in our subconscious mind and have a strong negative impact on self-
development and progress. They often hold us back, undermine our confidence and provide
illusionary perceptions about who we are.

One of the first tasks of a life coach is to help clients identify and overcome limiting beliefs.
Often, limiting beliefs begin to feel so natural that we consider them a normal part of us.
