Criteria for Validation of the Survey Questionnaire

Using the criteria developed by evaluating a questionnaire set forth by Carter


Good and Douglas Scates, please check the appropriate box which corresponds to your
evaluation of the questionnaires on Peer Influence and Study Habits.

Ratings are follows:

Criteria for Evaluation

1. This questionnaire is short enough and


respondents respect it and would not 5 4 3
drain much of their precious time.
2. The questionnaire is interesting and has
a face appeal such that respondents will 4 4 3

it.
3. The questionnaire can obtain some

superficial answer.
4. The items/questions and their

suggestive and no too stimulating.
5. The questionnaire can elicit responses
which are definite but not mechanically 4 3 4
forced.
6. Questions/ items are stated in such a

embarrassing to the persons/ persons
concerned.
7. Questions / items are formed in such a 4
manner as to avoid suspicion on the art 4 4
of the respondents.
8. The questionnaire is not too narrow nor
