Flexibility- ability of the joints to move in a wider range of motion.

Zipper Test measures upper arm and shoulder girdle joints flexibility.

Physical Fitness Test is a set of measures designed to determine a student’s level of


physical fitness.

Health-related components refer to those physical attributes which enable a person


to cope with the requirements of daily living.

Skill-related components are physical abilities that show potential for good
performance in certain skills.

BMI (Body Mass Index) – is the body’s relative amount of fat to fat-free mass.
Sit-and-Reach – to test the flexibility of the lower extremities.
Three-Minute Step Test – for cardiovascular endurance. It is the ability of the heart,
lungs and blood vessels to deliver oxygen to working muscles and tissues, as well as the
ability of those muscles and tissues to utilize the oxygen.

Push-up – measures the strength of upper extremities.

ENDURANCE- ability to perform one’s daily task efficiently w/o undue fatigue and with
extra reserve energy in case of emergency.
Strength – is the ability of the muscle to generate force against physical objects.
Basic Plank – to measure strength/stability of the core muscles.

MUSCULAR ENDURANCE- the ability of a muscle or group of muscles to sustain


repeated contraction against a resistance for long period of time.

MUSCULAR STRENGTH- the ability to exert a maximal force in the shortest time
possible, as in accelerating, jumping and throwing implements.

CARDIOVASCULAR ENDURANCE- it refers to the amount of force of muscle can


produce with single maximal effort.

AGILITY- the ability to move in a sudden change of direction and body position quickly.

COORDINATION- the ability to use the sense and the body parts to perform tasks
smoothly, efficiently, and accurately.

BALANCE- the ability to maintain equilibrium even when moving.


SKILL RELATED COMPONENTS- it refers to your ability to perform physical tasks
efficiently as it relates to a sports.

POWER- this refers to the speed at which a person’s body responds to an external
stimulus.

SPEED- It is the ability of the body to move fast from one point to another, in the shortest
period of time.

PHYSICAL FITNESS TEST- a standardized test which aims to give information and
assess one’s overall physical fitness.

EMOTIONAL HEALTH- It is manifested by acceptance of your mistakes, expressing


your feelings in different scenarios of life and the start of understanding yourself.

MORAL AND SPIRITUAL HEALTH- this refers to your personal belief, tradition and
faith.

SOCIAL HEALTH- it refers to how one works well with other people and involves
communications and interactions with friends.

PHYSICAL HEALTH- it means learning new skill, open to accept new ideas and being a
lifelong learner.

PAPER THROW- it is undertaken to measure coordination in the performance of motor


tasks.

STAMINA- Ability of the muscles to exert effort against a resistance.
