    Purposive Communication is about writing,
    speaking, and presenting to different audiences and
    for various purposes (CM0 20 s 2013)
    What is communication?
    Communication is understood as
    the process of meaning-making
    through a channel or a medium.

    It is the act of giving, receiving, and


    sharing information.
    Why do we need communication?
    We communicate for a variety of
    reasons. We use communication to
    share information, comment, ask
    questions, express wants and
    needs, develop social relationships,
    social etiquette, etc.
    Communication is much more than
    wants and needs. Exchanging
    information grows through the
    years.
    What is the role of communication in
    our life?
    It is no doubt that communication
    plays a vital role in human life. It not
    only helps to facilitate the process
    of sharing information and
    knowledge, but also helps people to
    develop relationships with others.
    Therefore, the importance of
    communication cannot be
    underestimated.
    What is the goal of communication?
    ❖ The goal of communication is to
    convey information—and the
    understanding of that
    information—from one person or
    group to another person or group.
    Do humans need communication?
    Human beings evolved as social
    animals, and with that evolution
    of social behaviour came the
    need to communicate.
    Communication is a fundamental
    need, and meeting it can be a
    powerful way to understand one
    another.
    DO ANIMALS ALSO USE LANGUAGE?
    Language is a vital part of human
    connection. Although all species have
    their ways of communicating, humans
    are the only ones that have mastered
    cognitive language communication. 

    Language is what makes us human. It


    is how people communicate. 
    DO YOU THINK GOOD GRAMMAR COULD BE A
    MEASUREMENT OF INTELLIGENCE?
    VERBAL-LINGUISTICS INTELLIGENCE

    One’s proficiency in English is,


    technically, a measure of an intelligence.
    Verbal linguistics intelligence is
    measured through different verbal
    fluency tests or, simply put, one’s
    language proficiency or one’s ability to
    learn a new language.
