How to search for correct System Board spare


1. Using PartSurfer or Serial Number Repository - Product Commodity Tracker enter the System
Serial Number.

2. Ensure that the Product description is the same as the Product you are servicing.

3. Look for the Assembly Number for System Board . Figure1 shows "618264-002“ BOM tab.

4. Look for the Operating System DPK. shows "WIN 8 PRO“ BOM tab.

6. Select the spare part from SBOM tab based on the combination of the systemboard description,
spare & DPK.

1. The HP spare xxxxxx-00x represents:

2. -001 Base MB with no key injected. Supports Linux, FreeDOS and Windows 7.

3. -501 is Windows 8 Standard (Std)

4. -601 is Windows 8 Professional (Pro), including Downgrade

5. For Desktop Products select the latest revision(C2…)*

How to search correct Display spare
1. Using PartSurfer or Serial Number Repository - Product Commodity Tracker enter the System
Serial Number.

2. Ensure that the Product description is the same as the Product you are servicing.

3. Look for the spare part of the Display panel "737658-001“ BOM tab.

4. Look for the part description : dimension, lcd panel type (HD, HD+, FHD, DRM…), webcam in the
BOM tab.

5. Select the spare part from SBOM tab based on the conbination of the part description and the
spare part found in BOM.
How to search correct Keyboard spare
1. Using PartSurfer or Serial Number Repository - Product Commodity Tracker enter the System
Serial Number.

2. Ensure that the Product description is the same as the Product you are servicing.

3. Look for the spare part of the keyboard “730541-051“ BOM tab.

4. Look for the part description : language, OS, options (Num pad, Backlight, Language…) in the
BOM tab.

5. Select the spare part from SBOM tab based on the combination of the part description and the
spare part found in BOM
How to search correct HDD spare
1. Using PartSurfer or Serial Number Repository - Product Commodity Tracker enter the System
Serial Number.

2. Ensure that the Product description is the same as the Product you are servicing.

3. Look for the spare part of the HDD "634862-001“ BOM tab.

PN: device can contain more that one HDD.

4. Look for the part description : capacity, type, brand … options (SED, Weight, Rotational speed,
Data transfer rates…) in the BOM tab.

5. Select the spare part from SBOM tab based on the combination of the part description and the
spare part found in BOM.
