with a grade of excellent, He has obtained the degree of M.B.B.Ch. on May 1995.
Unique Characteristics:
The faculty of Medicine at Ain Shams University has established itself as one of the top
institutions in term of medical education and patient care on the level of the Middle East Region.
The graduates of the faculty have managed to reach leading positions in the health care sectors of
Egypt and many Arab countries. Ain Shams university hospital is a second largest hospital in
Egypt serving half the population of metropolitan Cairo. About 1500 students are enrolled yearly
in the faculty of Medicine program. The program is highly competitive and usually students with
high academic performance are accepted. Students are enrolled after completing high school and
no pre clinical courses are necessary to enroll the program. Student receive 5000 credit hours
including 600 hours of training courses in medical wards, delivery rooms, operating theaters and
intensive care units.
