HISTORY & BACKGROUND/ MISSION STATEMENT

The EMMEDUE® building system was introduced in 1981, under the name of
MONOLITE. In 1995 the name changed from Monolite to EMMEDUE.

The heart of the Emmedue Advanced Building System is the Emmedue single panel
in expanded polystyrene: modular, not prefabricated and enclosed by a double-gal-
vanized steel mesh joined by connectors, which is completed directly on site with
two layers of concrete. The two steel meshes connected to one another create the
structure, whereas the expanded polystyrene core works like a membrane with
thermal-acoustic insulating functions.

Thanks to the Emmedue panel, the Emmedue Building System allows high-quality
structures to be built at an economical price. This is granted by the efficiency
achieved in the construction of the works, movement and assembly of the panels.

The modularity of the Emmedue System affords absolute design flexibility and high
degrees of integration with other building systems. Likewise, the simplicity of the
assembly, the extreme lightness and manageability of the panels allow the realiza-
tion of any type of building, even in adverse working conditions, earthquake-prone
areas and climate extremes.

The Emmedue Building System represents a new and competitive way of working in
the construction industry, ensuring a high level of sound and thermal insulation, a
remarkable fire resistance as well as a high resistance to all kind of strains.

Over the years, Emmedue has always focused on quality, a company's forte. In fact,
Emmedue has been conducting tests and trials in Italy and abroad on panels and
prototypes along the years to confirm the efficacy of the System and the high struc-
tural resistance of the existing constructions.

The Emmedue S.p.A. quality system holds an UNI EN ISO 9001:2000 certificate for
the “Design, manufacture and installation of panels for the Emmedue Building
System; manufacture of electro-welded wire meshes; design, manufacture and
after-sales service of plants for the production of panels and electro-welded wire
meshes”.

The Company’s main activity is the development and marketing of the Emmedue
Building System worldwide, especially in those countries where the lack of housing
allows clients to maximise and optimize the advantages offered by the System. The
result is the construction of environmentally friendly, high-quality buildings for a
fraction of the time and cost.

As of today, with more than 70 panel production lines throughout the world, the
Emmedue System can boast over 1.000.000 buildings erected and a continuous,
positive trend.

The plants spread worldwide and the displacement of the plants covers a large
range of countries, from the West to the Far East: Argentina, Bolivia, Nicaragua,
Venezuela, Colombia, Ecuador, Costa Rica, Republic of Panama, Mexico, Dominican
Republic, Peru, Uruguay, United States of America, Italy, Spain, Russia, Romania,
Libya, Egypt, Nigeria, Eritrea, Cape Verde, Sudan, Angola, Reunion Island (France),
Turkey, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Iran, Iraq, Qatar, Malaysia, Philippines and Indo-
nesia. This means absolute versatility and adaptability of this Building System to the

In addition to the marketing of plants for the manufacturing of the Emmedue

panels, Emmedue, thanks to its efficient and skilled technical team, provides full
support in the form of courses in assembly method, site management, structural
calculation, budgeting and marketing.

The company executive offices as well as Research & Development, Engineering,

Sales and Administration Departments are located in Fano.
The R&D staff, in conjunction with the technical team working out of the Padua
