Inspection

Fine grout mix proportions shall be: 1 part Portland cement; 0.1 part SAES-M-100

slaked lime; 2.25-3.0 parts fine aggregates.(ACI 530.1, Sec. 2.6B.1) Sec. C.3

Coarse grout mix proportions shall be: 1 part Portland cement; 0.1 part SAES-M-100

slaked lime; 1-2 parts coarse aggregates. (ACI 530.1, Sec. 2.6B.1) Sec. C.3

The mortar used shall be sufficiently plastic and units shall be placed

Alignments of masonry walls shall be within + 0.5" (12.7mm) for bearing

Prior to grouting, the grout space shall be clean so that all spaces to be
filled with grout do not contain mortar projections greater than 12.7mm

Cleanouts shall be provided for all grout pours over 5 feet (1.52m) in
height. Where required, cleanouts shall be provided in the bottom
