    1K Primer 3255 red brown.

    -Spray Max-

    Priomat® 1K Primer 3255 red brown is a zinc chromate-free


    one-pack product from our "PVB-System".

    Field of application:
    As a wash primer on all commonly found metallic substrates.

    Substrate.

    Suitable substrates: 1. Steel


    2. Electroplated / roller galvanised steel panels or soft
    aluminium, cleaned and sanded.
    3. Lightly sanded factory primer
    4. Well sanded old or original paintwork.
    (except thermoplastic paintwork)
    5. Surfaces treated with Raderal® 2K polyester products and
    then finely sanded.

    Important note: Owing to the wide variety of metal alloys and manufacturing
    processes, it is essential to carry out a preliminary test on the
    respective substrate to ensure that the pretreatment is sufficient
    to guarantee perfect adhesion.

    Substrate pretreatment: Clean all substrates carefully with Permaloid® Silicone Remover
    7010 or Permaloid® Silicone Remover 7799.

    Original or old paintwork – clean and sand lightly, remove all


    traces of rust and sand the areas around the former rust spots
    to create a smooth transition to the old paintwork.

    Before further treatment carefully clean substrate with a suitable


    cleaning agent to remove dust and residues.

    Application.

    Use: Shake aerosol can well for at least 2 minutes.

    Distance to object: 20 - 25 cm

    Number of coats: 2 coats

    Intermediate flash-off: 5 - 10 min

    Prescribed film thickness: 15 - 20 µm dry film thickness

    End of application process: After use, hold aerosol can upside down and spray briefly to
    clean nozzle.

    Drying.

    Air drying / flash-off time: at +20°C ambient temperature: 10 - 20 min

    Recoating.

    After flash-off Permasolid® HS surfacers


    recoatable with: (for application see respective TDS)

    Special notes. · Do not recoat with polyester products.


    · Do not recoat with epoxy products.
    · Not suitable for application on thermoplastic paintwork.
    · Do not recoat directly with Permahyd® Base Coat 280/285 or
    Permahyd® Hi-TEC Base Coat 480.
    · Shake again briefly before each coat.
    · Dispose of the empty aerosol cans as re-usable material.
    Note on safety: This product is classified according to regulation (EC)
    1272/2008 (CLP).
    The relevant Material Safety Data Sheet and Warnings
    displayed on the product label need to be observed.
    It is strongly recommended to use appropriate personal
    protection equipment during application.

    Data.

    VOC content: The EU limit value for this product (product category IIB.e) in
    2004/42/IIB(e)(840)690 ready to use form is max. 840 g/litre of VOC.

    The VOC content of this product in ready to use form


    is max. 690 g/l.
