STATEMENT OF PURPOSE

Introduction

I would like to introduce myself as Ms. Pooja Satish Bharambe, a career driven candidate with a zeal
to learn something new in my field of interest. I am an I.T engineer by education. Currently I reside in
Mumbai, Maharashtra with my parents. My Father is a Teacher in Government school, and my
Mother is a homemaker.

During my engineering days, I developed a knack for reading technical articles related to innovations
in the digital world, watching informational videos related to technology and how it impacts
different processes/models in today’s time. Apart from this, I enjoy meeting new people from diverse
cultures as it offers a mix of perspective and ideas. I am always willing to take on new challenges that
come in my way.

My ultimate aim is to work for a growing organisation where I can put my job experience to good use
and have a positive influence on people while contributing to the organisation's success.

Academic Background

I have completed my schooling from Maharashtra state board, securing 89.09 % in 10th and 75.69%
in 12th respectively. After finishing my high school I studied Bachelor of Engineering in Information
Technology from Datta Meghe College of Engineering, associated with Mumbai University. During my
college days, I participated in various extracurricular volunteering activities. I was also an integral
part of the college committee, where I ardently managed the college website and digital promotions
related to various events. I participated as well as organised technical workshops, I believed that it
would help me to enhance my practical skills.

I appeared for an English proficiency test in February 2021 and secured 7.5 in Listening,7.0 in
Reading, 6.5 in Writing and 7.0 in Speaking attaining an overall band of 7.0.

Professional Background

I have a total work experience of 2 years and 5 months. Post my graduation I got hired by an I.T
Company namely Matrix Bricks pvt ltd, where i worked in the field of digital marketing. I got an
opportunity to work on multiple end to end digital projects. My key role consisted of understanding
client requirements and objectives,then accordingly implementing the digital campaigns or technical
SEO for websites and their landing pages as per the scope. I also worked on the analytics front for
achieving maximum user traffic. Moreover I was also engaged in the execution of social media and
Search/Display campaigns.

Further I was hired as a Brand Manager at Skovian Ventures, which is an online marketing and
website development firm. I looked after various aspects of the project, such as stakeholder
management, planning and monitoring of digital campaigns and on time delivery of the same. I also
handled a team and was responsible for tracking their work until project delivery.
During my work tenure, I realised that the majority of my job deliverables were related to the field of
project management, so having a formal education would hone my knowledge & skill sets thus
helping me to grow professionally & personally.

Why Project Management?

In consideration of the current situation, I encounter a great deal of opportunities in the arena of
project management, which I wish to explore and grow significantly as an expert. Ever since my
college days, I was keen on exploring different techno-managerial processes involved in a project
which impacts its performance. A project management qualification will equip me with strong
planning abilities, including the capacity to place clear objectives and schedule specific stages to
achieve project goals. As it is needed everywhere, the job of a Project Management professional has
become exceptionally crucial and fundamental to almost every domain.

The contents of the course cover the importance of Project Management strategies & methods in
today's techno-savvy world, Agile Project Management, Quality Management, Leadership, Advanced
Project Planning, Risk Management, Business Management etc, which will help me gain immense
knowledge in the subject and help me secure a job in one of my favourite sectors, i.e. Information
Technology. Hence I decided to apply for a graduate certificate program in the field of project
management.

Why Canada?

Canada is best known for its incredible culture & peaceful ambience. The educational system is
renowned worldwide. Education from Canadian college will not only lead me to enhance my
organisational skills, communication and etiquette, but it will also hold an enormous value in India,
as well as around the globe. So pursuing education from such a well organised learning system will
enhance my career opportunities in my home country india. Moreover it will give me a global
exposure in technical as well as business sectors.

Additionally, Even though the standard of living and quality of education in Canada are ranked
amongst the top in the world, the tuition fee & cost of living for international students are on the
lower side compared to other countries.

I have already opened a GIC account in CIBC with 10000 CAD to take care of my living expenses in
canada. I have also submitted my college fee of CAD 17,132.

Why Georgian @ILAC?

After a lot of research and carefully assessing my options I applied at Georgian College @ILAC &
received Letter of Acceptance for Project Management program. The college has top teaching
professionals to help students sharpen their skills. Moreover, Georgian College provides the program,
which is as per my interest. The college has a well defined course pattern which is of utmost
importance to me. Assignments, case studies, guest lectures, presentations and projects makes the
course more student friendly. For me to get chosen to study in Georgian College, located in
Downtown Toronto, is an extraordinary chance as this will assist me with acquiring knowledge about
different businesses that are marked by the aspects of project management, thus will help me gain a
more extensive and global perspective while pursuing this course. The syllabus and course content of
the graduate certificate program offered by Georgian college fits perfectly to enhance and sharpen
my existing job skills and career. The program encompasses subjects such as

Future Plans

Once I complete the course, I will look for job opportunities in my home country, India, where I
would be able to utilise my newly acquired expertise and skills. Definitely, the proposed program will
prepare me to undertake more challenging roles pertaining to project management. I wish to apply
for top MNC’s such as TCS, Capgemini, Accenture, Deloitte, Wipro etc where I can work as a Project
Manager. Subsequently, the added skill sets on top of my previous work experience will benefit me
by garnering better remuneration. All these possibilities make me look forward to pursuing the
program and shaping my career path.

Lastly, I would say that I am wholly dedicated to building my career in the dynamic field of Project
Management. Therefore, I would request you to consider my application and provide me with a
