1 Scope of Work

The intention of this document is to provide heat load calculations for the EPC-6
contract buildings. This document covers particularly the heat load calculations for
the substation building as per mechanical design basis and related DGS documents
for the EPC-6 contract

2 Standards and Codes

The electrical design shall be based on the following documents and standards:

Mechanical design basis 5578-E6VR-MU-00001

HVAC system DGS-AU-063

EPC Addendum 5578-E00-EPG-047

HVAC study

American Society of Heating, Refrigeration and Air-conditioning Engineers

(ASHRAE)

3 Units of Measurement

Dimensions units of measurement are in SI units.

4 Calculation Software

The software used for calculating the heat load is Hourly analysis program (HAP)
version 4.2.

5 Analysis and Design

Building cooling load shall consider heat gains to the internal environment through
the building envelope and from internal gains such as occupancy, equipment and
lighting etc.

The air-conditioning design shall be based on the following ambient conditions

Summer : DB- 48 °C dry & WB-30 °C

Winter : DB- 7 °C
