    Badminton Lesson Plan – BMC – Backhand Short Serve

    Lesson goals/aim To develop accuracy in the forehand high serve

    Play in pairs 5 minutes

    Demonstration Teacher demonstration of the backhand serve. 2 minutes


    Target Teams set themselves a target for the short serve 2 minutes

    Attempt to hit the target using the backhand short serve (you
    can put your target behind the service line). It must be placed
    Accuracy Test 10 times
    in the same place at the start and end of the lesson). Make
    sure the serve is diagonal.

    In pairs throw the shot using dominant and non-dominant


    hand. Play diagonally across the court. Every time the shuttle
    Throw the shot 10 times in each hand
    lands in your opponents front court behind the service line
    without them catching it a point is scored
    Independently
    Serve diagonally to your partner. 10 times Action

    Players have to serve – catch against a partner, every time


    Deliberate rally 5 minutes

    Play for 10 minutes

    Observation Students observe the team that achieved the best differential 4 minutes
    during the session.
    Tournament Play in the round robin tournament until the end of the lesson
