‫ان الحمد ِل نحمده و نستعينه و نستغفره‬

‫أعمالنا من يهداِل فَل مضل له و من يضلل‬
‫فَل هادي له‬
‫لس ََلمُ عَلَي ْ ُكمْ َورَ ْحمَة ُ اهلل ِ وَب َ َر ََكتهُ‬

• The Alif after a fathah sign is called ‘Alif-

Madd’ (shown in red) – this is the main role
of the Alif!
• Whenever you see Alif after fathah, just

The level of heaviness of the ‫ حروف تفخيم‬is determined based on the

strength of the characteristics of the letter, and all of them have the
lightest letters when using kasra and yaa madd.

‫ ط‬Has the maximum strong characteristics; thus, it is the

heaviest letter in the Arabic alphabet.
