The old building is now old, cramped, and inconvenient to work in. it is not conducive as a
workplace environment. It has previously been suggested that the project would be a waste of public
money. However, the town hall building will be a good investment of public funds. The construction will

Text 2

Ladies and gentlemen,

I would like to propose opposition to the construction project.

First of all, the construction would be a waste of public funds. It would be better to use the
funds for social services and education. For the past few years, it has been planned that the site at E.
spring Street would be used for a public park. If this site were to be used for the new building, it would
not correspond th itas surroundings.

In relation to employment, the project would only hire workers for a year or two. Afterwards,
they would need to find jobs elsewhere.

In short, in my opinion, considering the current economy, the project would be a gross
extravagance in the expenditure of public funds

Because the building would be a disgraceful waste of public money, which could far more
