    The following pathways do not have a specialist area:

    Personal Property / Arts and Antiques Project Management


    Building Surveying Property Finance and Investment
    Building Control Research
    Corporate Real Estate* Rural
    Environmental Surveying Taxation Allowances
    Facilities Management Valuation of Businesses and Intangible Assets
    Management Consultancy

    *A new pathway effective from 1 August 2018


    Commercial Property / Commercial Real Estate

    Candidates must select ONE main area of specialism

    Agency Property management


    Corporate real estate* Rating
    Landlord and tenant Telecommunications
    Property development and planning Valuation
    Property investment

    *From 1 August 2018, Corporate Real Estate launched as a new pathway. Candidates enrolling from 1 August should be signposted to the new
    pathway. Candidates who enrolled onto the Commercial pathway prior to 1 August and selected corporate relate estate as their specialism, may
    decide to continue on the Commercial pathway during the transitionary period.

    Residential

    Candidates must select ONE main area of specialism

    Agency (sales and lettings) Residential valuations


    Housing development and planning
    Residential management (block
    and/or Social)
    Residential investment
    Residential surveying

    Valuation

    Candidates on this pathway must select ONE main area of specialism

    Commercial property Rural property


    Machinery and business assets Taxation and statutory valuations

    Residential survey and valuation

    Quantity Surveying and Construction

    Candidates must indicate their primary industry sector and area of practice. It is not mandatory for candidates to choose a specialism.
