JOB DESCRIPTION

POSITION Business Development & Strategy


LOCATION OF THE Pune
POSITION
ROLES &  Take ownership to design and drive strategy for business
RESPONSIBILITIES development and acquisition in a specified domain
 Research and prioritize potential customers.
 Initiate and maintain client contacts and build strong and
long term relationships.
 Develop thorough understanding of clients’ needs to
strategize the business development model / process.
 Prepare and execute business development action plans
with specific & measurable targets.
 Research and analyze key factors that may influence
market activity within specific geographic areas.
 Lead the development of proposals, presentations and
brochure materials.
 Train and assist concerned personnel to make effective
presentations.
 Coordinate and take accountability for the entire
proposal / bidding process (pre-acquisition stage) with
company’s other departments such as engineering and
design, estimator, project manager and senior management
team as and when required.
 Meet clients’ needs to their satisfaction prior to contract
execution.
 Identify and develop relationships with industry
professionals to generate new business opportunities.
 Create and expand SP’s footprint and build positive
awareness.
 Attend trade shows and other associations’ meetings to
stay updated on market conditions, competition and establish
relationships with existing clients and prospective ones.
 Respond to new and existing client needs and requests
by coordinating and overseeing involvement of design and
Project Management.
 Ensure accurate and timely completion of all work,
necessary documentation and final sign off on all projects
 Provide ongoing progress updates on new business
development activities, forecasting and other key indicators to
the management team.
 Support in development and managing the execution of
the project.
 Collaborate with construction team throughout the
project to ensure client and project teams expectations are
met.

 Maintain business development involvement and visibility


through the duration of all projects to foster relationships with
clients and project teams.
KEY FUNCTIONAL  Knowledge of commercial construction and scheduling
COMPETENCIES  Interface with clients, general contractors and vendors,
with minimal supervision.

 Knowledge of business practices, structure and
philosophies with ability to determine pricing, discounting.
 Up to date on legislations affecting business / tendering.

QUALIFICATIONS Full time Graduate in Mechanical / Civil / Metallurgical
Engineering from Government recognized institutions.
Additional qualifications in Marketing / Business Development is
preferable.
EXPERIENCE 7 to 10 years of total experience for junior role
INDUSTRY AREA EPC / Industrial Construction /large scale projects
