CHAPTER 6

FINANCIAL PLAN

This chapter will include three-month projections for income, cash

flow, and balance statement. These projections are for Marie Perlé Salon

only. The financials that are enclosed in the next pages have a number of

assumptions: Revenues is expected to grow at an annual rate of 10%,

increasing 8.8% from April to June and a 2.4% jump from May-June due

to a historical jump in revenues at this time of year. April, May and June

is considered as summer months in the Philippines. Aside from this

reason, this time of the year is also when events (e.g. virtual recognition,

ceremonies, etc.) usually happen despite of the pandemic.

The salon anticipates this increase to stay steady throughout the

year to account for the normal flow of new clients coming into the salon.

Based on the size of the salon and its defined market area, the salon’s

sales projections for the first year is at least ₱ 500,000. It is estimated that

the owner will be holding 60% of the monthly income and the 40% would

The Impact of Beauty Salon in the Philippines Today

A beauty salon has a significant effect on Filipino citizens because

it brings pleasure and enjoyment to all who visit the salon and make

some treatment to themselves. Both beauty salons and spas in the

Philippines are continuing to provide better service to all residents. It

also increases each individual's wellbeing by making them more

conscious of their outer appearance as well as their inner beauty and

optimal health. A beauty salon enables every woman to look and

sound good.

The beauty service industry in the Philippines is developing and

becoming highly successful. Many salons can be located on any street

corner and in every community in Manila. Because of technical

advancements, many Filipinos are beginning to open beauty salons

because it is now a profitable industry. Every week, almost all

Filipinos, especially women, visit a salon to pamper themselves. A

salon offers a variety of treatments, and a Filipino company can wish

to open a salon that focuses solely on one form of operation, such as

a hair salon, spa salon, or skincare salon, among others. However,

several beauty salons that offer both facilities are run by professionals

in the area of beauty makeup, goods, and services.

At the moment, society is changing, as is the development and

thought of all Filipinos. We also like to be informed of the new

developments and strategies of what is nice and great. A beauty salon

plays an important role in the lives of Filipinos because we all want to

better ourselves and personalities with the usage of cutting-edge

technologies. A beauty salon still provides a modern method of

offering good care to the customer. They have a natural device that is

typically used for therapy, as well as laser technology that is the

modern form of serving the client's skin and body. A heavy-duty

hydraulic pump has also been used in several salons (Look Upgrade,

2018).

The Philippines’ Professional Hair Care Market Challenges

According to Industry Arc, despite the fact that there are no major

factors limiting demand in the Philippines skilled hair care industry,

vendors must adhere to the rules and regulations outlined by the

ASEAN Harmonized Cosmetic Regulatory Scheme, which requires

certain quality prerequisites for product acceptance. This program

also provides shampoos and conditioners for your hair. However, this

adds to the vendor's potential to build on consumer confidence.

The Philippines’ Professional Hair Care Market Trends

Industry Arc revealed that organic and natural hair care brands are

altering the nature of the specialty hair care industry in the

Philippines. This is attributed to the increasing knowledge of

inorganically manufactured products and their effects, which is

pushing vendors to adapt their business models, and several

businesses are venturing into the specialized hair care industry.

The Philippines specialist hair care industry is undeniably

influenced by the country's social media culture. Furthermore, users

average six hours or more a day on the Website, resulting in a sizable

user base for hair care items offered on e-commerce sites. Not only

are vendors selling hair care services willing to advertise their

products, but people are still going out of their way to look nice for a

better "social networking" profile. This is a passive but powerful

industry disruptor.
