Engines for the Articulated Haulers are equipped with a flywheel housing which is only used for transportation purpose,
need to shift the flywheel over from the old engine/core to the ordered engine!
For D9,D11,D13,D16 the PTO is included but for D4-D8, D10 and D12 the PTO is not included.
For Excavators the "Remote oil filter" is not included!
Oil filler pipe is never included!

Tier 4i / Tier4f - High Sulphur Conversion kit
Introduction:
Many used machines in Europe and North America (EU/US) are sold to countries with no emission
regulations for non-road engines*.The engine technology to meet EU Stage IIIB / US Tier4i
emission regulation introduced 2011 and EU Stage IV / US Tier4f in 2014 includes the need for
sulphur free fuel (max 15ppm) to function properly and to fulfill emission legislations.In countries
without emission regulation for non-road engines the diesel fuels sulphur content normally vary from
500 ppm to 3000 ppm and in extreme cases can be up to 10000ppm.
* At the moment (2017) the following countries have emission regulations for non-road diesel engines: EU, Switzerland, Norway, Iceland,
Lichtenstein, Turkey, Israel, USA, Canada, Korea, Japan, China, India, Singapore and from 2017 Brazil.
The high sulphur fuel in these countries reduces the engine and engine auxiliary components lifetime if used without
proper engine modification. To enable proper usage of an EU Stage IIIB / US Tier 4i and EU Stage IV / US Tier4f
machine in these countries a conversion kit is needed in order to secure the function and lifetime of the engine.
The high sulphur conversion kit solution is a robust solution that enables the engine to run on fuel with high sulphur
levels, up to max 10000 ppm (1%), with maintained quality and reliability.
Technical Solution:
The solution inactivates the EGR (Exhaust Gas Recirculation) system by removing the EGR pipe and replacing it with
plugs for the connections on EU Stage IIIB / US Tier 4i engines. On the EU Stage IV / US Tier4f engines the UREA
dosing nozzle is also removed and holes are plugged.The DPF (Diesel Particulate Filter) and regeneration burner with its
sub system will also be replaced with a conventional muffler. New software which makes the engine function without
EGR and disables the EATS functionality will be downloaded.

NOTICE!
Once converted, the conversion is permanent and a machine and engine cannot be converted back to original emission
certification.
Introduction
- The importation of the machine to regulated countries is strictly prohibited. Confirm compliance with national,
federal, state or local laws and regulations before importing. Severe penalties may be imposed on the owner or
importer of the kit, engine or machine and shall be solely responsible for all compliance and penalties if
applicable.
- The conversion kit is specifically linked to the machine and engine serial number.¤ Kits cannot be sold or
installed on any other machine/engine.
- The kit cannot be sold and/or assembled on machines in countries where regulations specifically prohibit
their use, installation or modification of the emission system. Severe penalties may be in place.

sulfur content fuel.
Requirements / Procedure:
Before a customer is eligible to acquire a “High Sulfur Fuel Conversion Kit”, the following requirements must be met:
1. The machine must be located in a country which does not have emissions regulations for non-road engines.*
2. The latest available software update must be installed and a “Techtool job card” needs to be sent to a
specified address** to support/confirm that this task has been done.
3. The engine emission certification labels must be removed from the engine and machine and four photographs
taken - one taken before removal of each engine label and one taken after removal.On EU-sold machines, the
noise certification label must also be removed and the CE mark on the machine’s PIN plate should be crossed
through [X].
4. A contract document must to be filled out and signed by the dealer and the end customer in the non-regulated
country.***
5. The signed contract document, the Techtool job card, what remains of the removed machine/engine labels and
the required photographs (see point 3 above) must then be sent to specified address** or emailed to Global Parts
functional mailbox.
6. Global Parts receives the documents.
7. Global Parts updates the “High Sulfur Fuel Conversion Kit log” document with information regarding the
converted machine and stores the contract document.
8. Global Parts gives approval for the kit download to Technical Support for a specific chassis number and to
Logistics/warehouse to pack and send the HW parts.
a. Logistics/warehouse packs the HW kit and sends it to a specified address in the non-regulated country.
b. Technical Support executes the kit and confirms SW ready to Global Parts
9. Global Parts confirms SW ready to order desk and/or dealer.
10. The HW parts arrive at the dealer in the non-regulated country.
11. Dealer rebuilds machine and applies 2 new labels.
12. Dealer downloads the kit to the machine via Techtool
Introduction
13. Dealer/authorized customer updates Webmia (or DMS), adding the new engine P/N to the Component area
and the Conversion kit P/N to the Option area.

Ordering:
1. Check M@SH to find the appropriate conversion kit P/N.
2. Enter an order for the kit in the order system (SOI/Vips). In case of no order system access, contactyour
Aftermarket order coordinator.
3. The order will be blocked in the system until the requirements are fulfilled.
4. Delivery will be executed following the normal process.
Rebuild:
1. Rebuild the machine/engine with the conversion kit according to the instructions.
2. Download the Software via Techtool to the machine.
3. Apply the two new labels showing the uncertified status in the same position as the old ones.
4. Update Machine Card in Webmia (or DMS) immediately after the conversion/emission downgrade. Update
both the Component and Option areas in Webmia with the new engine P/N (Component area) and the
Conversion kit P/N (Option area).
