TEST METHODOLOGY AND LIMITATIONS


A detected result is indicative of the presence of SARS-CoV-2 RNA. An inconclusive result should be recollected if
clinically indicated. Negative results do not preclude SARS-CoV-2 infection and should not be used as the sole basis for
patient management decisions. Not detected results must be combined with clinical observations, patient history, and
epidemiological information. The Amplitude Solution with the TaqPath COVID-19 High-Throughput Combo Kit is a real-
time reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) test intended for the qualitative detection of nucleic acid
from SARS-CoV-2 in nasopharyngeal and nasal swab specimens. This test has not been cleared or approved by the FDA.
This test has been authorized by the FDA under an EUA for use by CLIA authorized laboratories to perform high
