i) Raju went to a pizza corner to buy a pizza. He chose a pizza worth Rs 278/-.
He has money of denomination 1 hundred rupee note 2 fifty rupee note and 4
twenty rupee note and 2 ten rupee note. What amount did Raju have in his
wallet and the balance he receives on paying all the money he had with him to
the shopkeeper?

ii) The distance covered by cab when going from Arpita’s house to her office is 6 km and 450 m and
the distance covered by bus when going from her house to office is 4 km and 250 m each travelling
in different routes. Which is the shortest path and by how much?

iii) Sagar bought apples worth Rs 150 per kg. He bought 8 kg of apples. What is the total cost of
apples that Sagar bought?

iv) Rita bought 4 m of cloth to make a salwar for her kid. She went to the tailor and ordered the
salwar. On the delivery day the tailor delivered the salwar along with 1 m and 248 m of cloth which
was not used us. Find out the quantity of cloth needed by the tailor to make the salwar

v) The bulldozer picked up waste from the waste area weighing 10 tons. The waste picked up was
recycled and the weight of the recycled product was 1 ton 250 grams. What is the weight of the
waste which could not be recycled?

vi) Tania’s birthday is on 11th March, 2004 and her mother’s birthday is on 29th October, 1983. By
how many years is Tania’s mother older than her?

vii) Bunty used to maintain a piggy bank. He decided to open the piggy bank to buy a cycle for him.
On opening the piggy bank he found one 2000 rupee note, four 500 rupee note, eight 100 rupee
note, six 50 rupee note and coins worth ten 10 rupee coins, fifteen 5 rupee coin and twenty five 2
rupee coin. Find the total amount he collected in the piggy bank

viii) There were 12 boys and 15 girls in section A of a music class and 18 boys and 10 girls in section B
of the same music class. Find out the total number of boys, total number of girls and total number of
students in the music class.

ix) Govind missed the metro railway at 8: 30 in the morning to go to his office. He caught the next
metro railway at 8: 49 a.m. What is the duration that he had to wait to catch the next train on
missing the first?

x) Harpreet has 200 chocolates to distribute among 50 students in her class on her
birthday. How many number of chcolates did each of the student get?
