Anton

CROCHET PATTERN

@manuskacrochet 1
MATERIALS

• 2.5 mm - 1/B crochet hook

• 4 different yarns for 2.5 mm crochet hook

• 6 mm safety eyes

• Tapestry or large sewing needle

• Stitch marker (optional, I use yarn)

• Fiberfill stuffing

YARNS

• Phildar Phil Coton 3 - 097 taupe (body)

• Phildar Phil Coton 3 - 056 Marine (shirt)

• Phildar Phil Coton 3 - 032 Ecru (ears, nose)

• Scheepjes Catona - 249 saffron (hat and shirt)

@manuskacrochet 2
Finished size and gauge
Anton is approximately 15 cm / 6 inches tall. Exact gauge is not necessary for this
project. If you use a bigger hook, Anton will be bigger. His measurements will
change depending on the hook and yarn you use. It’s important to crochet tight, to
avoid the stuffing showing up after filling.

Notes and abbreviations

The pattern is written in US American crochet terms. You will use these stitches:

st = stitch

ch = chain

sl st = slip stitch

sc = single crochet

dc = double crochet

sk = skip

BLO = back loops only

FLO = front loops only

FO = fasten off

Yo = yarn over

Rep = repeat

dec = decrease

inc = increase

Invisible decrease: A method of decreasing. Insert hook into the front loop of the
next two stitches and pull a loop up through both. Yarn over and pull through last
two loops left on the hook.

Anton is worked in continuous rounds unless otherwise instructed.

Bow tie
Chain 4 and form a ring. You will crochet into the ring:

*chain 3, 3 dc into the ring, ch 3 and sl st into the ring*. This is one side of the
bow. Rep form * to make the other side. Fasten off and leave a long tail. Roll over
a bunch of times to get a decent middle for the bow tie. Live a long tail for sewing.

Sewing the parts

Place the head onto the neck, secure it with a few pins and sew it onto its place.
You may add some extra filling to the body while you’re sewing it.

Place the arms onto their place and with small stitches sew them onto the body.
Sew the tail onto the back of the mouse, and the bow tie below the head.

@manuskacrochet 9
You are ready with Anton, the tiny mouse. I hope you enjoyed making him as
much as I enjoyed making this pattern. Don’t forget, if you have any questions
or need clarifications on any of the instructions, I’m here to help you!

I would also love to see your version of Anton, so if you’re on Instagram,

please mention @manuskacrochet in your post.. <3
