This GS covers the hardware specifications of the
Field Control Unit which is the processor of the Field
Control Station (FCS).

ESB Bus Node Units Connection
Rack mount (M5x8 screws)
When connecting an ESB Bus Node Unit to FCU,
Insulation bush (accessory)
install ESB Bus Coupler Module (EC401) to FCU.
Connection
EC401 must be installed in slot 7 and slot 8.
Power Supply: M4 screw terminal connection
For the dual-redundant configuration of the processor Grounding: M4 screw terminal connection
modules, EC401 must be installed in both slot 7 and Contact Output: M4 screw terminal connection
slot 8.
In case ESB Bus has a single configuration, EC401
must be installed in slot 7 and keep slot 8 empty.
ER Bus Node Units Connection
When connecting an ER Bus Node Unit to FCU, install
ER Bus Interface Mater Module (EB401) to FCU.
To make single configuration, EB401 must be installed
in an odd-number slot, and make a space on the right
side of the installed EB401.

 LIMITATIONS OF INSTALLATION AND NOTICES FOR INSTALLATION

For installing I/O modules in AFF50S and AFF50D, the quantity and allocation are limited.
Also, when installing a node unit to the dedicated cabinet, there are limitations of installation under the ambient
operating temperature conditions.
When modules with built-in barriers are installed in AFF50, an insulating partition kit (Part No. T9083ND) must be
installed.

 SOFTWARE REQUIREMENT
For AFF50S and AFF50D, LFS1350 Control Function for Compact Field Control Unit (for V net and FIO) is required.
Specify these control functions with suffix code.
For the specifications of LFS1350, refer to GS 33K15C50-50E.
