Parry ware, the flagship brand of Parryware Roca Private Limited is the No. 1 Sanitary
ware manufacturer in India and the 9th largest in the world. EID Parry Limited is a public
company headquartered in Chennai, South India that has been in business for more than
200 years. It has many firsts to its credit, including the manufacturing of fertilizers (1906)
for the first time in the Indian subcontinent. It became a member of the Murugappa group
in the year 1981 and thereafter the story has been one of turnaround and of steady
growth. When Murugappa Group acquired EID parry in the late 80‟s, Parry ware became a
part of the Murugappa family. Parry ware is a range of premium sanitary ware produced
and marketed by EID Parry, a part of the Rs. 3500 crore Murugappa group based in
Chennai.
Chennai-based sanitaryware brand Parry ware makes toilets, sinks, faucets, heaters,
cisterns, pumps, and more, and its legacy dates back to the 1950s. The company is now
under Roca, a Spanish sanitary products group which took over parry ware in 2006.
Parry ware is now a 100% subsidiary of Roca Sanitario S.A. and is known as Roca Bathroom
Products Private Limited.
The vision of this vertical is to give end consumers, institutional customers and
professional like architects, interior designers and technical specifiers a complete and

•Spanish sanitary-ware major Roca has said that it would be focusing on more
promotion of its brands, including Parryware, through digital mode, considering
the shift of trend to digital from the print publications.
•The company said that the new looks, including the new colours added to the
product line, the R&D measures initiated along with the digital push, would
improve its presence in the market for brand Parry ware in the country.
•The company would also launch an experience centre for Parry ware products
in Gurgaon in February, the first such store for the brand. The centre will
showcase the products under the brand and also introduce the new products in
the centre.
•"Our target is that Parry ware has to be the undisputable leader in the
organised bathroom segment," said Pellicer. While almost 80 % of its business
comes from Parry ware brand, it currently has brands including Armani Roca,
which is the top most brand in terms of value in its offerings, followed by
Laufen, Roca and Johnson Suisse. It also owns a brand Johnson Pedder, which
is placed below Parryware in terms of offering of the product.

Experience Centres: The retail outlets should be turned into "exp where the
customers can actually experience the look and feel of and bathroom fittings.
They can have the option of customizing their specifications and fancies.
Because the customers have now more experience centric rather than product
driven.
Venture into Kitchen Appliances: IN order to widen the product range, the
company can also look to venture into new product category - Kitchen
appliances. Various kitchen appliances like cooker hoods, hobs, cook tops, built
in ovens etc. can be provided to the customers. This will give the customers
greater number of options and also provide the customer with a common
theme on which they can customize their kitchens and bathrooms.
India International Trade Fair: The Company should also advertise and
showcase the products in International Trade fairs organized in various tier 1
and tier - 2 cities.
