Prevention of physical injury
1. Before disassembling or assembling parts of the main machine and peripherals, make sure
that the power cord of the main machine is unplugged.
2. The wall outlet should be near the machine and easily accessible.
3. If any adjustment or operation check has to be made with exterior covers off or open while the
main switch is turned on, keep hands away from electrified or mechanically driven
components.

 To prevent a fire or explosion, keep the machine away from flammable liquids, gases,
and aerosols.

This machine, which uses a high voltage power source, can generate ozone gas. High ozone
density is harmful to human health. Therefore, the machine must be installed in a well-ventilated
room.

Due to different applications in each country, some regions may have different accessories.

2.2.2 PRECAUTIONS
 Do not look into the lens while the LED lamp is on. The strong light from the LED lamp may
cause damage to your eyesight.
 Do not use the lens cap when the projector is powered on.
 Do not place the machine in a location where air flow is poor. Doing so may cause fire due to
internal components becoming overheated.

3.3 PART REPLACEMENT

 Before you start: This process is protective level II. Operators should wear electrostatic
chains.
 If you need to replace the main board, you have to get into service mode and record the
LED usage hour (page 4-3 "Service Mode ").

3.3.1 EXTERIOR COVER

Top Cover
1. Remove screws on the Bottom Cover (M1.6x5 x4).

2. Remove screws on the I/O cover (M1.6x5 x3).

3. Insert a flathead screwdriver from the area indicated by a blue circle and release the
I/O cover’s hooks (indicated by red arrows).

5. Release the lock of the FPC [A], and disconnect the bottom of the FPC.

1. Turn on the projector.
2. Press the "Power [1]", "Left [2]", "Left [3]", and "Menu [4]" keys sequentially.

4.4 CALIBRATION

 If you don't have professional equipment such as Quantum Data 802B or Chroma 2327,
please use a PC that supports HDTV resolution and has an independent graphic card to
output the corresponding PC pattern. You can download the "test pattern by PC" from
SERES as shown below.

4.4.1 ADC CALIBRATION
To adjust the white/black value of the VGA signal, after replacing the main board or updating
firmware, ADC calibration is needed.

Environment
 Test equipment: Video generator
 Test signal: 1280 x 800 @60HZ
 Test pattern: Full black / Full white

 The calibration pattern should be in full screen mode.

Procedure
1. Project the test pattern.
2. Get into the service mode. (page 4-3 "Service Mode ")
3. Select "Analog Settings".

4. Select "ADC Calibration".


When the calibration has finished, "Success" appears.

5. Execute "Factory Reset". (page 4-9 "Factory Reset")


6. After the ADC Calibration, project the test Pattern (64 gray RGBW with 1280 X 800
@60HZ) and check the following criteria.

 The screen must appear normal, without abnormalities such as lines. (The unidentified color
levels on both left and right sides should not be over 8 color levels.)
 Check that the projection is the same as displayed on the monitor.

4.4.2 G SENSOR CALIBRATION


1. Put the Projector on a horizontal surface.
2. Get into the service mode. (page 4-3 "Service Mode ")
3. Select "G Sensor Calibration".

 "G Sensor Calibration" must have a value; it must not be blank.

4.5 FACTORY RESET

Factory Reset allows you to erase all OSD menu, restore the default setting, and clear the Failure
Log.

3. Connect the projector to the PC with a USB cable (USB type A to A).
4. Execute "Install DLP Device Drivers" in the start menu.

5. Select "Jungo WinDriver (WinXP), then click "Install".

- Then click "Next".

6. Select "Include this location in the search".
