DEPED LESSON PLAN FORMAT

The title of the DepEd Order is the “POLICY GUIDELINES ON DAILY LESSON
PREPARATION FOR THE K TO 12 BASIC EDUCATION PROGRAM”.

A lesson plan is an outline before a particular lesson which I prepare before

taking the class. A lesson plan contains what will be taught, how it will be taught and
with what it will be taught.
The basic parts of a lesson plan are:
 Lesson Objectives - The best objectives are action-oriented and focus on the most
important and essential learning needs of the class. They should be measurable,
so teachers can track student progress and ensure that new concepts are
understood before moving on, and achievable considering the time available.

 Related Requirements - Related requirements are national, state, or school

standards that dictate what you need to teach in a class.

 Lesson Materials - Instructional materials are the content or information conveyed

within a course. These include the lectures, readings, textbooks, multimedia
components, and other resources in a course.
 Lesson Procedure- The lesson procedure is essentially step-by-step instructions
that walk you through everything from the time students enter the classroom until
the bell rings at the end of the period.

 Assessment Method - The assessment given at the end of a lesson is typically a

test, but it can also be an essay or a project where the students perform on their
own without any guidance from the teacher. How students perform on this
assessment tells you how successful your lesson was and if the lesson needs to
be re-designed

 Lesson Reflection -Reflecting on your teaching will help you to understand how
your students best learn and will allow you to be accountable for their progress.
By assessing the strengths and weaknesses in your own teaching, you will
develop an awareness of the factors that control and prevent learning.
