Dear Mr. Trump

Subject: Reporting preparation for higher education

As one of your scholarship sponsor recipients, I’m sending you this letter describing my
progress on the journey to complete higher education.

Background: As I have mentioned before, my educational goal is to graduate from Foreign

Trade University with high degree, and then apply for a Master Degree abroad.

Work completed: For the past two years studying at Foreign Trade University, I have always
tried my best to achieve good scores. I have completed 50 credit so far, most of which are
credit in fundamental, compulsory subjects. By the end of my freshman year, my GPA has
been 3.5, which is the number I aimed to win the scholarship. Academically, my results are
meeting the requirement I set for myself. Regarding my extracurricular activities, I have
applied for a part-time job as a Teaching Asssistant. After six months working there, I believe
the working environment will certainly benefit my future education since it provides chances
to communicate with different people from different backgrounds.

Work to be completed: In this sophomore year, I will work hard to increase my GPA. I’m
also planning to attend a number of extra classes to strengthen my knowlength and gain more
life experience. In addition, I am researching the university which is the most suitable for my
higher education. The university should be located in a safe country with numerous
opportunities for foreign students.

Anticipated challenges: I understand that it might be hard for me to achieve full sponsorship
from my Master Degree’s University due to my humble extracurricular records. However, I
am seeking for domestic, as well as foreign projects to join. Therefore, this should not be a
problem in the next two years when I graduate.

Hope that this progress letter help you to have a better view about my journey to complete
higher education.

Sincerely,

Pham Truong Thuc Anh.
