The new Canford Fibre Field Termination Rackmount Case is designed to facilitate a fast, easy and effective solution for
installing hybrid fibre connectors on site and eliminates the need for pre-terminated cable assemblies. The boxes come
complete with up to 8 x Lemo 3K.93C EDW or FMW cable assemblies pre-fitted in either a flat or angled 2U front panel.
The SMPTE cable enters the chassis via rear cable glands and the strain relief is secured to the clamping post.The electrical cables
are then terminated directly to the AMP connector provided on the internal
bulkhead.The fibre cables terminate directly to the SC coupler on the same
bulkhead using Senko XP Fit Plus connectors or alternatively via SC tails
which are spliced to the incoming fibre using the internal splice tray.
This system not only provides improved protection to both the
electrical and fibre connections which are secured within the case
but also allows for quick and easy replacement/repair of any failed
SMPTE connectors.

CANFORD DEPLOYABLE CATEGORY 6 DATA STRANDED

CONDUCTOR CABLE
Increasing use of network and data cables between audio and video devices on location calls for a Category 6 cable that is
designed specifically for deployable use. Basic Category 6 UTP is a relatively inflexible installation cable, and even the slightly
more flexible patchcord type still has very poor handling characteristics in deployed (as opposed to patching) applications.
This Category 6 cable has been designed specifically for the professional audio and
video user, and is intended to handle like a typical microphone cable. It has an extra-
flexible four-pair core structure that maintains Category 6 performance, then a special
soft PVC composite material outer jacket, to give superb flexibility and handling
characteristics.
It is suitable for use with both standard RJ45 connectors (round entry version), the
Neutrik Ethercon and most other ruggedised RJ45 designs, or any other connector

use in outdoor open areas subject to the full force of the elements or harsh internal

Manufactured in steel, offering sealing to IP66, the 466 series are available in three

GET CLOSER TO THE ACTION - SPORTS ‘PLAYER MICS’

Designed to be safely worn by athletes participating in major contact sports like rugby, the new QT-5100
PlayerMic wireless transmitters from Q5X will withstand the huge shocks generated during full speed collisions
on the playing field. The miniature, remote controllable transmitters are only 42mm wide, 9mm thick and are
available in two lengths - 78mm and 99mm. Operating times are 3.5 and 8 hours respectively at 50 mW transmit power.

GREEN-GO DIGITAL INTERCOM OVER ETHERNET

Unlike other digital intercom designs, Green-GO does not employ an expensive central matrix. All interconnection routing data,
system set-up and user preferences are stored locally within each user station including beltpacks, which eliminates the possibility of
a catastrophic central failure.
Green-GO does not require a dedicated Ethernet network. It will operate on any 100Mbit network without interfering with other
data protocols coexisting on the system, including Dante. User stations are powered by Power over Ethernet (PoE). If PoE is not
available locally, any good quality PoE switch may be used including Green-Go’s own 5-port switch.
Audio quality is high and latency is only 12ms. Useful features include channel ident, display of simple text messages and cue light
facilities. System set-up is carried out via a laptop using free software for PC or Mac which can be downloaded
from the Green-GO website.The current range includes beltpacks, wall stations, multi-channel desks (8, 16, 24
and 32 channels) and interfaces for integrating with analogue two and four-wire intercom systems.The recently
introduced bridge interface enables venues in different locations to link their Green-GO comms together via the
internet, while retaining full system functionality.
A basic intercom system can be created with just
two beltpacks and, if Power over Ethernet is not
available, a PoE switch. It can then be expanded as
technical requirements and budget dictate. With
no heavy investment required for a central matrix,
Green-GO offers a uniquely cost effective way to
build a digital intercom system, making the latest
technology available to many who, up to this point,
found it hard to justify the expense.
