    Title : Evaluation of Nootropic Effect of Yashtimadhu (Glycyrrhiza glabra) powder in


    Alzheimer’s Disease Models of “Caenorhabditis elegans”.

    Duration : 3 Months ( October 18 – January 18 )

     Caenorhabditis Elegans is a small free living soil Organism. It is a transparent


    namatode worm which length is 1.5mm. C.elegans strains used as a model of
    Alzheimers Disease are mostly Transgenic.The Strain CL4176 that express a human
    Aβ peptide in their muscle cells.
     In this Experiment we investigated the potential of Glyacyrrhiza Glabra to
    counteract amyloid-β toxicity , one of the key features of Alzheimers Disease . These
    extract tested their acitivity in C.elegans Models of amyloid-β toxicity.
