Executive Summary

An internship program is an excellent way to prepare students to know about the practical way to
deal with the things learnt and develop skills. Internship program is considered to be very
important as it provides an opportunity to explore the business world and gain practical
knowledge. Internships are generally thought of to be reserved for college students looking to
gain experience in a particular field. However, a wide array of people can benefit from Training
Internships in order to receive real world experience and develop their skills. It helps the interns
to acquire knowledge of the latest trends in their respective fields. There is a myth in the society
regarding unpaid internships that the interns should avoid choosing them because it is considered
as a waste of time, but I’ve learnt many things from this internship which will be very helpful for
me in the future. I am very grateful to get an opportunity for a paid internship. Our College has
given us immense opportunities to excel in our field through various internship opportunities. I,
as an intern, got a good platform to expand my knowledge regarding the above things. Also, the
interns act as an informed source to market and promote their products/services that are also an
added advantage for the firm. As an intern, I got to experience good, practical exposure to
theoretical knowledge. As beginners the internship program proved to be a good warm up for our
careers.

This Report Is Based On The Activities Performed During My Internship At Viral Fission .
Internship Duration Was 12 Weeks From 25th September 2021 To 6th December 2021

i . How Do We Define Viral Fission?

Viral fission is a platform bridging the gap between India's most capable and enthusiastic youth
and the brands that they love – we do this through activations, youth ambassador programs, and
online and offline experiences. In a society like India, we noticed and connected a variety of
problems – a disconnect between brands and their consumers, as well as job prospects and
career-launching for the youth at large. We designed a solution that serves all stakeholders in this
space and creates additional value even, by connecting them in mutually beneficial ways that
also allow brands to test out the impact of the youth and eventually believe in the future
changemakers. led by co-founders Shreyas Hegde (ceo) & Rishab Shetty (coo) and chief revenue
officer, aditya anand, we have already captured the imagination of tens of thousands of students,
as well as some of their favorite brands in under a year, and that’s given us the belief to take bold
steps further in this mission of empowering our fellow indian youth while creating value for
brands in the same ecosystem.

same field of education ,but 13 people out of 103 that is 12.3% people choose to not to do
internship ,and we can find the reason for that from the following questions in the survey

most of the youth more introverted and makes them anxious to set out of their comfort zone of
their home to do any activity For instance, a student preparing for a national test might need to

to balance both the things and to save maximum time from doing traveling and other time
consuming tasks

same field. 13.6% of the remaining respondents selected “maybe”, this could be cause they had a
better understanding of their specialization when compared to when they would get by doing an
internship , some topics were easily understood due to the internship ,and some topic might
completely differ from textbook and rest thought their internship didn't help them much .

52
Q6 Duration of your internship

Internships can be for any duration, a shorter internship is known as an externship, and these
experiences typically last anywhere between two days to two weeks and are also known as job
shadowing. While this type of internship has its benefits, it does not enhance your resume as
much as an internship that is longer.

The ideal length of an internship often depends on your unique situation. If you are required to
relocate temporarily for an internship, you might feel that it isn't worth it for an internship that
only lasts a few weeks. Some internships also require you to rearrange your schedule, which
again, you may not deem worth it for an internship that is shorter.

In the above chart, 36.9% respondents choose 1 month as their duration in an organization ,
34% choose 1-3 months as duration on their internship in an organization ,17.5% of

reinforces self efficacy, which in turn influences entrepreneurial intent. Interns are given more
responsibility and are allowed to take ownership of the work allocated to them.

how much did their internship help them to improve
their interpersonal skills on the scale of 1 to 5 ,where

respondents gave the rating of 2, 20.4% of respondents gave the overall rating of 3, 37.9% which
is highest of all gave the rating of 4 , and finally 35% of total respondent rated 5 .

54

Most students will complete an internship during their junior or senior year to increase the
chances of the internship leading to a job offer. However, it is more and more common for
students to hold internships throughout the entire duration of their college career in order to gain
experience. If you're interested in interning during your first year, go ahead and get in your
application.

Many internships, especially competitive, paid programs with big-name companies, require you
to have previous internship or extracurricular experience, so it is important to get started early if
you can.

According to the survey 76.7% of the total respondents think that the best time to do internships
is during graduation ,so that after graduation they can get better placements in the future , 15.5%
of the respondents think that ideal time to do any internship is before graduation so that they can

employment while allowing you to explore your interests and form your personal career goals.
An internship is a great introduction to an industry or a role a student may want to pursue.
Internships are typically arranged through an educational counselor who can help match you to a
company that fits your career goals. Understanding the benefits of doing an internship can help
you decide if this is the right course of action for a student.

Majority of the respondents expected to gain practical knowledge after and during the internship
, gaining physical knowledge through an internship is relatable for mostly of the respondents
who took part in this survey ,12.6% of the respondents expected to link classroom learning to

gave total ratings of 2 , 36.9% respondents have rated it 3 which is give by highest no. of
respondents ,28.2% of respondents rated in 4 which is the second highest rating and 19.4% of
respondents has rated it 5 which is the highest rating of all .

then has been analyzed in order to measure the impact on interns who passed their internship
training program, the results shows that there is an impact on personal ,interpersonal ,academic,
occupational and civic aspects of interns, some items of each area must be improved by both,
universities and organizations and also interns must be careful toward their responsibilities in
their training period, The implementation of this program may differ from one organization or
university to another and results may differ depending on how developed is this program in all
details, the more it is done perfectly ,the better impact will be shown on interns.

,increase in their individual learning level and application of concepts learned in college in to the
