Narrative and Pictures In related to DepEd Memorandum No. 234,

s.2008 “Planting of Malunggay Trees in School,” all
school administrators are encouraged to support the
planting of malunggay or moringa trees in school
premises and communities through integration in
science classes and school community outreach
projects.
In support, San Antonio Central School requested
and encouraged parents and teachers to participate in
planting malunggay in the school premises. This activity
aims to plant more malunggay tress to be used in
SBFP(School-based Feeding Program) for our learners.
Including malunggay in every meal ensures the
effectivity of providing low cost but nutritious food to our
students.
Together with some parents, combined force of
school’s Gulayan sa Paaralan Team, School-based
Feeding Program Coordinators, YES-O and SPG team
make this vision happened. Parents and teachers
planted malunggay in different areas of our school last
June 30, 2022. Since we have old malunggay trees in
our school we cut some branches to be use in planting.
Bringing their tagline “Laging Handa!”, Boy Scouts
also participated on this project and plant a total of 15
malungay trees around the school ground. SPG
(Supreme Pupil Government) Officers step up and led to
promote planting malunggay not just on school but also
on their home. Active parents together with some
teachers guided the pupils to ensure the efficiency and
to attain the aim of this project.
If we are aiming to secure the health and well-being of
every pupil, plant Malunggay tree to have a step closer to
what you want to gain.
