Repeats the words. Uses the vocabulary on similar situations. Resources and aids Cross curricular link: Albanian Language Books, CD, school items, flashcards Methodologies, techniques and student’s activities Asking and answering/ Group work/TPR, Listening Welcome your class by saying Hello several times. Write your name on the board and introduce yourself to the class. Point to your name and to yourself and say: Hello, I’m (Nevisa Ismaili). Encourage the pupils to say hello. Stand in front of a pupil and say: Hello, I’m (Miss Evans). Encourage the pupil to respond. Hand him/her the appropriate Smiles name tag. Repeat with the rest of the pupils. Then ask the pupils to colour in their Smiles name tags using their favourite colour. Pupils’ books closed. Put up the Smiles poster on the board. Point to Lilly and say: Lilly. The pupils repeat, chorally and/or individually. Follow the same procedure and present the rest of the characters Pupils’ books open. Play the CD. The pupils listen and point to the characters. Play the CD again. The pupils listen and repeat chorally and/or individually. Present the students with the project and the topic of it. The project students are going to work until the end of the year is “This Is me” when students throughout the year will learn how to introduce themselves and their belongings. Now I can : Students list what they can do after the 45 min class. Reinforce the room items. Listen to the story. Repeat the words. Use the vocabulary on similar situations. Evaluation: a.
