I. TITLE: ADVANCED SPREADSHEET SKILLS

II. INTRODUCTION:
Designing your presentation is the fun part of creating a report for it gives you a chance to be creative. Placing
animations, transitions, and art could be on your mind right now. But whether or not these features would help is
generally up to you. Sometimes, these things could actually distract your audience rather than help you.

III. OBJECTIVES:
At the end of this lesson, the students should be able to:
1. Define what a presentation software is.
2. Familiarize the most commonly used functions in Microsoft PowerPoint.
3. Use a Microsoft PowerPoint as a viable tool.

WHAT IS PRESENTATION SOFTWARE?

– is an application software that allows users to create visual aids for


presentations to communicate ideas, messages and other info.

EXAMPLES OF PRESENTATION SOFTWARE

WHAT IS MICROSOFT POWERPOINT?

is a presentation program, created by Robert Gaskins and Dennis Austin at a software company named
Forethought, Inc. It was released on April 20, 1987, initially for Macintosh computers only. Microsoft
acquired PowerPoint for $14 million three months after it appeared. 

KEY TERMS IN MS PowerPoint:

Slide – is a single page of a presentation. Collectively, a group of slides may be known as a


slide deck.

Design Template – pre-designed graphic styles that you can apply to your slides.

Slide Show – a collection of pages arranged


in sequence that contain text and images
for presenting to an audience.

Press “F5” – to display slide show

Animation – is a set of effects which can be applied to text


or graphics within a slide.

Transition – are motion effects that when in Slide Show


view add movement to your slides as you advance from
one slide to another.

Hyperlink – allows you to jump to another location.

TYPES OF VIEWS IN MS PowerPoint :

Normal View - simplified layout of the page so

pane.

Outline View - displays all of the text in a


PowerPoint slide show in outline form regardless of
the design, objects and animations.

pictures and animations in your story. Place texts as descriptions for the storyboard or dialogue cloud for the

SECTION. Check the rubrics on how you will be graded. Send your work through your teacher’s email address. (Group
