1. What do you think is the most important trait of a Politician?
A politician must possess something that people should be aware of, a character
that is genuine enough to please everybody. Except for the money, possession and
entitlement of course, something that people always choose because politics is all about
the entire topic of “general opinion” or “public opinion”. A politician must do something
incredible to please everybody like helping those who are in need, giving priorities to
those who are vulnerable and incapable of living, proposing many new projects that can
help in building the nation in short a politician must be a role model of being the “almost
perfect” figure of leadership. Leadership will come in mind of a person who wants to
take a big responsibility of ruling one nation. Also, a politician must serve his fellowmen
for the betterment of the nation.
2. As a youth, what support can you give to have a clean and honest election?
As a fellow youth who is well aware of the situation happening during election
period, I may suggest to my own parents or legal guardians who has the ability to vote
candidates that suits such position in the government that don't just vote for them
because you received money, or don't receive money from them at all. Vote them for
their abilities, capabilities, and willingness to serve for the community and for the
country. Social media could help other people, especially other youth, to be informed of
the identity of these candidates.
3. What is a Charter Change? Do we need to have a Charter Change? Explain.
According to Commoner, Charter Change or Cha-Cha is the colloquial term
referring to the revision and/or amendment of the 1987 Philippine Constitution.
Monitoring the changes in the constitution should be a high priority for Filipinos as the
provisions in the text will have a direct impact on everyone. Proposals must be read
closely and discussed extensively. Criticisms must be expressed and freely debated to
avoid the passage of questionable provisions. The first attempt for Cha-Cha was under
Former President Fidel V. Ramos. Since his term, every administration has seen an
attempt for a Cha-Cha, but none came to fruition. This was largely because of the
laborious procedures needed to be fulfilled in order to pull it off.
First, it must be clarified if the changes shall be in the form of revisions or
amendments. Amendments are changes that do not affect the structure and
fundamentals of the Constitution and generally affect only one provision. If a change
entails adding, reducing, or deleting provisions, without any impact on the basic
constitutional principles involved, it is considered an amendment.
Revisions, on the other hand, refer to much bigger changes — a rewriting of the
whole or substantial entirety of the Constitution or changes that affect two or more
provisions that basically alter the structure and fundamentals of the instrument.
Describing charter change in my own words is all about the change in the 1987
Philippine Constitution. Amending such constitution will only lead in changing only one
provision thus changes will do no harm to any. Revision may lead to such changes that
this charter change would only be used to do and/or to tolerate corruption. The country
will be downgraded further because of this scenario. I stand against charter change
anchoring it to the kind of governance happening right now. Re-opening the idea of
launching Charter Change is not a priority due to the confusion caused by the COVID-
19 here in our country. Considering the fact that this “cha-cha” for me can cause
violence and harm to the nation by revising and/or amending the constitution makes it
more totally inconvenient and unnecessary.
4. Do you agree that Sangguniang Kabataan Official be exempted to take the NSTP.
Explain your Answer.
The Sangguniang Kabataan or youth council is the governing body of the youth
assembly or Katipunan ng Kabataan of every barangay. They are elected by the
members of, the Katipunan ng Kabataan in elections conducted by the Commission on
Elections (COMELEC). he Katipunan ng Kabataan is an assembly of youths in every
barangay whose primary objective is to enhance the social, political, economic, cultural,
intellectual, moral, spiritual and physical development of the youth in the country. This is
based on the mandate of the 1987 Constitution, which provides on Section 13, Article II
states that “the state recognizes the vital role of the Youth in nation-building and shall
promote and protect their physical, moral, spiritual, intellectual and social well-being. It
shall inculcate in the youth patriotism and nationalism and encourage their involvement
in public and civic affairs”. SK and Katipunan ng Kabataan (KK) were created through
the Local Government Code of 1991 (Republic Act 7160) that provides opportunity for
young people to directly participate in local governance; Composed of all youth aged 15
to 21-year-olds.
Yes, because a joint-memorandum was released, and it is all about the
exemption of Sangguniang Kabataan Officials to NSTP-CWTS. This joint memorandum
has a subject of guidelines for the exemption of the SK Officials from taking the NSTP-
CWTS in accordance with Section 16 No. 2 of RA 10742 or An Act Establishing
Reforms In The Sangguniang Kabataan Creating Enabling Mechanisms For Meaningful
Youth Participation In Nation-building, And For Other Purposes. The purpose of this
joint-memorandum circular is to provide the implementation of guideline for the
exemption of all incumbent SK Officials in good standing from taking the NSTP-CWTS
subject. I read it from cover to cover, it is true that these SK Officials are already serving
the nation and considered as to those who are helping in building the nation, thus, the
exemption of taking the NSTP-CWTS is reasonable enough. Considering the
recognition of them as SK Officials, engaging themselves at a very young age to
become young leaders makes them to be free from duties of the said subject. Their
annual barangay youth investment program is already counted as one of the major
fundamentals in NSTP considering the fact that this subject is also building the youth to
become future leaders and great contributors for the future.
5. If you give a chance to run on National Position what position you will choose and
why?
As a president/mayora of our section, I am humbly choosing the position of
presidency in our country to serve my fellow Filipino people with such generosity and
kindness without any stain of corruption and fraud. I want to empower each and
everyone to become productive and prevent such conflict of committing such crimes
due to poverty. As a leader who wants the betterment of this country, I want to become
that unique leader that everyone could ask for.
