You can usually calculate mounted stones’ girdle thickness percentages the same as you would for loose stones: by subtracting the crown height percentage and pavilion depth percentage from the total depth percentage. However, sometimes a mounting makes it impossible to measure the diamond’s depth or calculate its total depth percentage. In those cases, you can estimate girdle thickness percentage using this table.
