INTRODUCTIONBackground of the StudyLiverworts (Banting, et.al. 2018) are embryophytes with non-vascular that occupy the first nodes among extant lineages in the land plant tree of life, existed for several million years, and have played a vital role in thesubsequent evolution of all forms of plant life on land. Although it may haveexisted for millions of years, they are poorly known group of plants in relatedwith taxonomy, ecology and geographic distribution. Since liverworts do nothave any roots, it is not capable to grow and live on soil. But it rather stickson tree trunks and rocks. Liverworts may appear as a small kind of plant, butit is considered a home for those animals that prefer to live on this hometype. A habitat for invertebrates, types of animals that lacks of spinal column.Barangay New Compostela lies within the grid coordinates atapproximately 7.5011, 124.9218 in the Mindanao island. Its elevation isestimated at 244.8 meters or 803.1 feet above the mean sea level. BarangayNew Compostela is surrounded with the following barangays; Maican,Damulog, Bukidnon; Sampagar, Damulog, Bukidnon; Old Damulog,Damulog, Bukidnon; Balaoro, Kadingilan, Bukidnon; and Kiorao, Kibawe,Bukidnon. New Compostela has many places were considered to be ahidden spectacular spots. One of these is the Twin Falls were plenty of liverwort flora abundantly live and continue to enrich with their co-bryophytes.There was no previous study done regarding bryophytes within thesaid site, specifically, the liverworts. Yet the current study is conducted togive an onset knowledge about liverworts that could serves as the basis for the next future researchers. It also helps to give a great recommendationsconcerning with the factors that might be the reason of the liverwortsextinction. With respect in the settlers of New Compostela, Damulog,
