The parasite
Accidental : unusual Host
can be termed as:
- Obligate parasite when it can live only in a host.
- Facultative parasite when it can live both in a
host as well as in free form.
- Endoparasite when it lives inside the body.
- Ectoparasite when it lives on the body surface.
- Pathogenic parasite when it can cause harm to
the host.
- Commensals (non-pathogenic parasite) when
benefits from the host without causing any
harm.

general morphology of the stages for each
parasite in trematodes, cestodes and nematodes.
● Understand and describe the complete life cycle
of for the covered parasites in trematodes,
cestodes and nematodes.
● Outline the epidemiological aspects and mode of
transmission for the covered parasites in
trematodes, cestodes and nematodes.
