Analysisf1-D bar element with axial loading


Aim: To find the nodal displacements, stress and reaction forces in a stepped bar using FEM.

Objective: Use ANSYS tool to determine the field variables.

Problem: Find Nodal Displacements Stresses and reaction forces for the following problem
using Link Element. AN 2400 mm2, Young's modulus 1 =70x103 N/mm2, Asr 600mm2,
Young's modulus 2 =200x103 N/mm

Title: Structural analysis of cantilever beam.


Aim: To plot the shear force diagram and Bending moment diagram of
cantilever beam using Ansys APDL.

Objectives: - 1) To determine Shear Force and Bending moment of


respective forces acting on beam.
2) Draw SFD and BMD diagrams for calculated shear force and bending
moments.

3) To determine and plot shear force and bending moment diagram u_inS
ANSYS APDL.

4) Validate the result.

Problem statement: -

A cantilever beam 2m long subjected to transverse loading as shown


in figure below. Take e=2 x 10 N|mm-,u = 0.3 and square cross section.

Aim:-To study the steady state thermal


analysis of fin.
Objective: 1) To determine the steady state temperature distribution,
2) Steady state heat transfer rater to the base of fin.
Problem Statement: -

A cylindrical copper fin conducts heat away from it base at 100°C and
transfer its surrounding. Find at 25°C through the convection. The convection
heat transfer coefficient is 10 w/m2kthe copper has thermal conductivity of
398 w/mk.
