I have the Honor to send to your good Office the attached records of
investigation for a case of MURDER (DOA) wherein the victim was one JOAQUIN
DELA CRUZ Y VALDEZ, 30 years old, single, Coca Cola Supervisor and a resident of
Bgry Tartaria, Silang, Cavite. The accused / suspect is:
ALEX BULAONG Y RAMOS, 38 years old, MERALCO Head Security and a

resident of Brgy Dita, Balibago,City of Sta Rosa, Laguna.

FACTS OF THE CASE:
Investigation disclosed that on September 28, 2009, at about 10:00 O’clock in the
morning, the suspect went out of his car and met the victim along Tagaytay Road and
Balibago Highway beside Coca-Cola Building, near corner at Balibago Exit Toll Gate
(SLEX), Bgry Pulong, City of Sta Rosa, Laguna. At this Juncture, the suspect drew his
gun with evident premeditation, with intent to kill, and with treachery shot the victim.
Thereafter, the suspect escaped from the vicinity bringing along with him the firearm
used. The victim sustained multiple gunshot wounds in the different part of the body and
was brought to Emergency Hospital of Sta Rosa City, Laguna but was later pronounced
dead on arrival (DOA) by the attending physician thereat. The elements of this police
unit conducted an investigation and follow-up operation that resulted to the arrest of the
suspect and he is now under the custody of this unit. Investigation further disclosed that,
the two had previous misunderstanding in connection with the house and lot payment.
The suspect, after having been informed of his constitutional rights, refused to
give any written statement. However, the suspect was positively identified by the
witnesses during the confrontation as the one responsible in this particular incident.
On the account of the foregoing, the suspect was placed under arrest and charge
of MURDER against him will be brought to the attention of an Inquest Prosecutor for
proper disposition and recommendation.
