First, I would argue my point of view by saying that smoke coming from cigarettes
pollutes the environment and people around those who smoke are exposed to passive
smoking by inhaling baneful substances. Cigarette smoking can cause pollution in
environment by releasing toxic air, which harms the atmosphere. Cigarette butts also
litter the environment by polluting water and soil. Tobacco sale and cigarette smoking
should be forbidden. For example, we all smoke passively when we go into a
nightclub and even the second day our hair and clothing still smell form that smoke.
That’s why smoking indoors should be banned.
Thirdly, we should stop the enrichment of those who commercialize tobacco and
cigarettes. We should not tolerate that some unscrupulous people earn money by
harming other people with the products they sale. Currently the biggest tobacco
company Philip Morris International Inc. valued around $175 billions, and it is rapidly
growing over time as the demand of cigarettes rises around the world. Advertising
tobacco products on air should not be legal as it somehow attracts the teenagers
towards smoking cigarettes, which mostly end up as a trend in a society.
Anyhow, there are still people who are in favour of tobacco products. People believe
as long as smokers are knowledgeable about the product causes it should be a
personal right to choose. Moreover according to researchers second-hand smoke is
terrible for everyone in the world who walks by someone who is exhaling. But to
summarize, I strongly believe that sale of tobacco and cigarettes should be forbidden
in the benefit of people and the environment.
