Background and Issues of

Public Relations Interactive Webinaror what is often called PINTAR is an annual event held
by students of Public Relations Department of Communication Studies at President
University.In 2021, PINTAR again held an event with the theme: Manage a Brand and
Relations in Social Media (MABAR). Nowadays, social media has influenced young
people, especially Gen-Z. Social media is an online media that is used for long-distance
communication needs, the process of interaction between users with one another, as well as
getting information through special application devices using the internet network.

Entering the 21st century, social media is becoming a global trend in society. The function of
social media was originally to connect various levels of society. But over time, this function
has evolved into a place to start a career and do business for business people. Along with the
rapid development of social media, it certainly brings two impacts, both positive and
negative. So far, the effects that he feels are positive, except for people who according to him
are easily provoked, trapped by hoaxes and the like.

In essence, social media wisely can certainly support a career. Social media should be used as
effectively as possible. Be careful in digesting all the information, it is better to use it for the
important things. By holding this webinar to broaden knowledge for Gen-Z about the wise
use of social media. As well as to add insight into strategies for managing social media to
support careers and business.

Purpose
1. To increase awareness of young people, especially Gen-Z, about the importance of
education on the benefits of social media as a career support in the future.
2. To find out more about strategies for managing social media accounts well.

Brief Description

In order to continue the annual activity, PUMA (President University Major Association) of
Communications held the PINTAR event again. Targeting Gen-Z youth with an age range of
15-24 years. We will organize this webinar to help young people, especially Gen-Z, to
manage social media accounts well.
The activity title is
PINTAR (Public Relations Interactive Webinar) with the theme MABAR (Manage a Brand
and Relations).

In achieving our goal above, the target participant of our activity is Gen-Z who is active in
using social media with an age range of 15-24 years.

Profile Speakers
1. Faizal Abd Khasfi or what is often called Faizal Akew is an actor, commercial star,
celebrity, and also a context creator. Faizal Akew started his career as an FTV
(Television Film) actor and commercial star in 2016. Faizal Akew was shooting while
working as a nurse. Faizal Akew has succeeded in branding himself using social
media by creating creative content. Faizal is viral on TikTok and his personal Youtube
with content related to romance, he also often gets endorsement offers. Due to his
fame, he is often invited on national television shows. In addition, he also actively
participates in webinars as a presenter and most recently he became a presenter at the
Digital Literacy event organized by the Ministry of Communication and Information.
2. Unggul Yoga Ananta, is the Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of PT.
Indonesian Innovation Sports. The company is engaged in Corporate Social
Responsibility (CSR) with a modern consulting approach and digital product CSR.
Unggul Yoga Ananta has also served as Executive Director at the Tulungagung
Society (Social Services) from October 2017 to October 2019. In addition, Unggul
Yoga Ananta since July 2021 until now has served on the Supervisory Board at the
Indonesian Young Innovation Foundation (Economic Empowerment). ). He is a
young person who has succeeded in becoming a creativepreneur in the field of CSR,
whose goal is how CSR can be one of the long-term business strategies.

Strategy
1. Advertise the webinar event on social media, including the seminar promotion
Instagram account, and President University's official Instagram account.
2. Cooperating with high school level teachers in Cikarang and surrounding areas.
3. Utilize Google Forms to record the participants.
4. Make press releases.

Target Output Activities


1. News coverage and publication of webinar results in online media.
2. Get as many as 200 participants.
3. Get 3 sponsors.
