to machine cut gears, every part is precision-made to

With ordinary saws arbor locking is indirect. The raising,

lowering and tilting handwheels, which are used to lock
the arbor, are simply tightened against the cabinet. Re­
suit : Arbor misalignment occurs when the arbor control
gears wear. Consequently, vibration and chatter is trans­
mitted through the entire power train and back to the
locking hand wheels. In effect, the arbor is free to move
even though it is locked.
With Boice-Crane's SupRcap saw, the operator in­
stantly and directly locks the arbor carrier to the carriage
with a quarter turn of the lock handles conveniently
located next to the raising, lowering and tilting controls.
Vibration and chatter is locked out at its source. Arbor
misalignment cannot occur.
In addition, SupRcap also uses extra capacity lifetime­
lubricated ball bearings which assure minimum wear and
longer life.
B-C's direct on-arbor locking construction for its dou­
ble trunnion design provides the most advanced engi­
