Total No. of Hours: 54 hrs. Prerequisite/Co-requisite : None Effective Date: First Semester SY 2018-2019
Course Description :
The course equips students with basic statistical tools to understand various phenomena. The topics on mean, variance, sampling, and estimation
eventually allow students to be able to perform hypothesis testing on real-life problems from different fields. The course includes applications and data analysis and
computations carried out using SPSS.
Course Learning Outcomes :
1. Utilize Statistical tools and applications in interpreting and analyzing collected data on experiments and research.
2. Develop teaching methodology with the use of statistical tools that are useful and would aid teaching and learning statistical concepts.
3. Employs different strategies in using and utilizing different statistical tools as well as strategies in teaching and learning process.
4. Utilize good communication skills in delivering concepts with the use of appropriate instructional materials.
5. Integrate better procedural skills and ethical methods in utilizing modern statistical tools with the aim to maximize teaching and learning outcomes.
