Internet is one of the important sources through which individuals can quickly get information,
remain in touch with their beloved ones, and perform thousands of activities. It’s a vital source
of information, a social platform and a business network. We all know how convenient and
important internet in our life; however because of how we sees internet as a good thing it
covers up the dark side of it. In the video it shows the other side of it. Crimes and other illegal
actions is also lurking on the internet or in the world wide web. People who do illegal actions in
these platforms secretly do what they want and know how the internet works. In the
documentary there was a cyber-war was talked, the cyber war between Philippines and china.
Its unthinkable how internet could make a big stake in a silent war.

The “I love you computer virus” in the year 2000 was made by a Filipino to get a passport in the
internet and to use it for free, and this was spread in different countries. This cause a damaged
that cost Ten billion dollars ($10,000,000,000) and the Filipino hacker was arrested by NBI. The
rapid development in information technology during the last few decades has not only given us
greater opportunities to freely search for information and contacts. The growth of the Internet
has also created new opportunities for criminal organisations, political activists and terrorists to
threaten individuals, companies and countries. Individuals and organisations are also
increasingly the targets of attacks and espionage via the web. There are various kinds of
illegitimate and criminal activities. In using the internet we have to be wise because hackers
could get your personal information by just a click of your keypad. We have to make sure that
our personal information’s safety was double. Keep personal information professional and
limited, keep your privacy settings on, practice safe browsing, make sure internet connection is
secure, be careful what you download, choose a strong password, be careful of what you post
and meet online are some other ways to prevent from hacking or illegal access of personal
information.
