Shaft Alignment - Vibration Analysis - Outline
Introduction:
This course introduces of vibration theory and vibration measurements and analysis methods from first principles. The course also aims to familiarize engineers with the different vibration control techniques. Participants will be able to analyze and solve vibration problems. Also, this course cover shaft alignment where exposed to all of the different dial indicator alignment methods, understood how to check or correct a 'soft foot' condition, have never used the alignment graphical/modeling technique and measuring and correcting vertical and horizontal plant misalignment.
Course Objectives:
Identifying machines vibration Explaining free and forced vibration Describing vibration control and correction Gaining knowledge of vibration measuring and analysis Identify the different types of alignment Describe the different methods of alignment. State the procedures required performing reverse dial indicator method of alignment. Understanding of practices in measuring and correcting 'soft foot' problems and measuring run-out on alignment demonstrators Assessment of the basic principles and demonstrate the face & rim method and modeling the face and rim measurements Gaining knowledge of measuring & correction vertical and horizontal plan misalignment aligning vertical mounted equipment
