8. What is Just Culture?

Ans: Concept to promotes by providing an environment conducive for all its personnel to report
occurrences, safety hazards and maintenance errors without fear of any punitive action
being taken using SAFER form.
The commitment also ensure that the primary objective of any investigation to the report is to
examine not just What happen but WHY it happen so as the root causation can be
determined and so that suitable preventive action can be planned.

11. Other than fuel tank, what task is CDCCL task?
Ans:
a) Elevator weighing. Some maintenance procedures (repairs, paint work, etc.) can cause
the elevator weight to increase.

b) IGGS Dual-Flapper Check Valve also CDCCL.

“THIS PROCEDURE USES A FUEL SYSTEM ITEM THAT IS IN A CATEGORY KNOWN AS A CRITICAL
DESIGN CONFIGURATION CONTROL LIMITATION (CDCCL). CDCCL IDENTIFIES AN ITEM THAT
CAN BE THE SOURCE OF A POSSIBLE FUEL TANK IGNITION. YOU MUST KEEP ALL CDCCL
ITEMS IN THE APPROVED CONFIGURATION. DAMAGE, WEAR OR CHANGES TO A CDCCL ITEM
CAN CAUSE A POSSIBLE FUEL TANK EXPLOSION.”

14. Where else AMO certificate other than at SAE Lobby?

Ans: AMO certificate is inside SAE Server. In “QA Info” folder, there have “Approval Certification &
Documents”.

Approvals are managed by Quality Assurance. Each approval lists the site, the capability list, validity
date of the approval. All approvals are available at Quality Assurance office and displayed at
the main hall of the facilities.

16. Find CRO.

Refer Attachment.
17. Can we use 100% CMM?
Ans: In general, maintenance to the component fitted to the aircraft can be performed when the
aircraft maintenance data directing to a relevant component maintenance data to perform a
certain task. Nevertheless if not clearly stated, certifying staff within scope of authorization
is allowed to directly use component maintenance data provided the conditions below are
met:
• Simple task which only requires airframe standard practices
• Task requires no special process except those within SAE capability
• Task requires no special tool and/or equipment
• Task requires no special testing and/or use of test bench
• Task requires no controlled workshop environment (e.g. temperature, humidity,
dust control, etc.)
• No specific requirement written in maintenance manual that the task requires to be
performed at overhaul facility.

18. Acceptance of aircraft component

Ans:

i. Components which are in a satisfactory condition, released on a CAAM Form

1 or CAAM Authorised Release Certificate/ Airworthiness Approval Tag
(CAAM ARC/FORM 1) and marked accordingly.

ii. A component, other than engine and propeller, which are in a satisfactory
condition, released on FAA Form 8130-3 or EASA Form 1, and marked
accordingly, may be acceptable provided,
• FAA Form 8130-3 it is issued by the FAA approved repair station located
in the United States of America;or
• EASA Form 1 it is issued by EASA Part-145 organisation located in
EASA member states and
• The FAA approved repair station or EASA Part-145 organisation issuing
the maintenance release of component, has been appropriately
evaluated and assessed as an approved supplier by the organisation.

iii. A new manufactured component or component maintenance release by

OEM,is acceptable provided:-
• The organisation is under control of aircraft, engine or propeller Type
Certificate holder and;
• Authorised by TC holder certifying authority

21. Limitation for CDL?

Ans:
Operation of the aircraft without certain secondary airframe and engine parts is possible as
indicated in this Configuration Deviation List. Any part not included in this list must be
considered as necessary. It is important to repair the aircraft at the first airport where
repairs or replacements may reasonably be made, subject to spares availability and ground
time, since additional malfunctions may require the airplane to be taken out of service. CDL
items without specific repair limitations can be remained open in MR2 for 45 days.

When items require high-speed tape, the CDL dispatch conditions are assessed considering
that the tape is in the correct position and in good condition. The Operator must use an
appropriate process to ensure that the dispatch conditions are satisfied. The Operator must
define this process in accordance with its specific operations.

Note: Unless otherwise specified in the CDL item or the relevant AMM task, a visual
inspection of the high-speed tape must be made at a regular interval that must not exceed 3
calendar days.

22. How AirAsia manage CDL item (open DDML)?

Ans:
Procedure

a) MOC will vet all incoming JML collected from KUL, update Daily Aircraft Status Report (DASR)
google spread sheet and save in google drive application.

b) All JML are vetted for any potential AOG or Repetitive Defects as logged down by the
pilots and Part 145 certifying staff. These items are then highlighted in the DASR and
distributed via google drive shareable link to relevant department.

c) Preventive action may be taken to follow up on potential AOG or historical defects as required via
the EPM Vol 8, Part 3.1 Repetitive Defect Control and Monitoring Procedure.
d) Any DDML raised will be included in the DASR together with the MEL Expiry date for ease of
tracking.

e) MOC shall remove the closed DDML from DASR once confirmed by sighting of certified physical
DDML page, AMOS work order vetting or confirmation from Planning Department for aircraft
undergoing maintenance check at hangar.

f) MOC on duty shall verify and declare status for the schedule and out of phase maintenance status
in DASR.

g) DASR will be downloaded from google drive application on daily basis and saved as backup in
company server.

h) MOC Manager or his representative will chair the DASR meeting with the respective departments
to coordinate and discuss any major events relating to aircraft technical status. Typically, this
will involve representatives from Engineering Materials & Logistic Centre, Technical Services
Department, Planning Department, Quality Assurance Department, Vendors and
Manufacturers.

sources and the condition of the fuselage skin near each static source and any other component
that affect altimetry accuracy, such as pitot-static probes, static ports and angle of attack
sensors.
-In accordance with A320 SRM 51-75-12, around static ports and pitot probes (RVSM), the step between
unpainted and painted area should not exceed 400 microns.
-In accordance with A320 SRM 53-00-11, aerodynamic requirement for allowable damage and repairs
around RVSM components has been mentioned.
