PREPARATORY IMPROVEMENT IN PASAY-

PARAÑAQUE TRANSPORTATION SYSTEM AND
SLUMS CULTIVATION FOR METROPOLITANIZED
STRUCTURE

Presented by Group 4
RATIONALE
Cities of Pasay, and Paranaque are
both cities bustling with life and
business, that said and done it does
not mean that it is immune of the
overcrowding, intense traffic, and a
failing transportational system.
Slums and poverty are prevalent,
further fanned by the decaying
system.
RATIONALE
As much as it seems like an
underlying problem in the bigger
picture, that is further from the
truth. In 2018 it is said by Japan
Cooperation Agency that the
Philippines is losing 5.4 billion pesos
on a daily basis. Meaning urgency is
of dire need. Innovation and
progression must be embraced for
development.
PROCESS
Our group chose to utilize “Zoning”
to accomplish the proposed
Improvement to the Pasay-
Parañaque Transportation System
and Slums Cultivation for
Metropolitanized Structure.
PROCESS
FOR THE TRANSPORTATION SYSTEM:

1.We need to identify the common routes that experience congestion due to
excessive traffic in Parañaque and Pasay.

2.We'll understand and be able to articulate the primary factors that influence
the traffic on those particular routes after identifying the routes with the
worst traffic congestion.

3. After determining the causes, urban planners must put forth a suggestion
that might help people experience less traffic congestion.
THE PROPOSED SOLUTIONS ARE:

1. Install New Passenger Terminal Buildings

2. Improve the Railways and Metro Subway

3. Establishment’s Parking Areas (Malls, Condominiums, and Businesses)

4. Increase Passengers’ Comfort and Safety

5. Stop the Road Widening and Provide Accessible and Safe Sidewalks (With Bike lanes)

6. No Garage, No Car
FOR THE SLUMS CULTIVATION FOR METROPOLITANIZED STRUCTURE:

Slum housing, like other informal settlements, is built on the property to

which the resident has no legal title and without any urban planning or zoning
restrictions. Additionally, slums are frequently places where many social
indicators are falling; for instance, crime and unemployment are rising. Slums
are not all the same, with some providing better living conditions than others.
Similar to this, slum dwellers are a diverse group of individuals with various
interests, means, and backgrounds.

To improve the lives of informal settlers of both Pasay and Parañaque, both
cities have provided informal settlers' houses that enhance the lives of these
people

THE PROPOSED SOLUTIONS ARE:

1. Find a place within the city where you can relocate the
informal settlers

2. Birth Control programs to minimize population growth

3. Urban livelihood programs from the government
