Introduction:

- Online learning tools can be used to improve communication and


organization, create relevant and interesting content and ultimately help a
student progress their knowledge and skills. The use of video content is a
powerful way to engage and support students in many aspects of the
curriculum. Learning management systems provide a safe space for
students to view educational videos without having to provide access to all
materials available on the web.

Instructional Goal:

- To increase access to learning opportunities/increase flexibility for


students

- To enhance the general quality of teaching/learning.

- To develop the skills and competencies needed in the 21st century, and in
particular to ensure that learners have the digital literacy skills required in
their discipline, profession or career – or, put simply, to get work in the
future.

Target audience

- The target audience we set for e-learning for English subject is year 1
primary school students.

1. Analysis
o To analyze and identify Primary 1 students needs went learning
English.
o Subject limitations will also be analyzed

2. Design
o Based on the analysis, we will use the information to create the
course that meet the students’ needs
o The content will then be organized and the plans are laid down

3. Development
o Building the outcome of the design. The design creation will be
tested for learning experience

4. Implementation
o The develop materials will distributed and presented to the user.
o The materials will be presented in the form of video, games and
quizzes
o Materials will be tested by evaluating the students understanding
towards the topics

5. Evaluation
o Further evaluation will be done to meet student’s objectives and
needs towards the syllabus
o The course presented will also be evaluated to determine whether it
is suitable for primary 1 student
Content

Based on Primary 1 English textbook.

Unit 1: Sounds Everywhere

Guide students to talks about the sounds made by the animals and vehicles

Unit 2: Greetings

Guide the students to exchange greetings. Introduce greetings such as “hello” or


“hi”. Encourage the pupils to greet using correct pronounciation, word stress
and intonation.
Unit 3: My Day in School

Draw the students attention towards their activities when in school. Talk about
the things they usually do in school by showing some pictures of school
activities.

Unit 4: Around the School

Ask questions to students about their school. Talk about the things they see in
school by showing some pictures of school surrounding.
Unit 5: Road Safety

Teach students about road safety and tell them on what need and not to do.

Conclusion

In conclusion, it has been shown that a good multimedia courseware design focusing on the
specific needs of the learners can be an effective learning tool especially for student primary 1.
With the right application of instructional design models, use of appropriate motivational
strategies as well as appropriate technologies, multimedia courseware can contribute to quality
learning. It was suggested that making compulsory use of both print and digital with the right
application of instructional design models, use of appropriate motivational strategies as well as
appropriate technologies, multimedia courseware can contribute to quality learning. It was
suggested that making compulsory use of both print and digital learning materials (multimedia
courseware) for selected courses could contribute to positive learning experiences.
