(16(¾) n ÷ 8(5/3)n) x 4(n+1)
b) Evaluate (0.04)-3/2.
2. Given that log102 = 0.3010 and log105 = 0.6990. Find the value of log25.
3. The first term of a G.P is 16 and the fifth term is 9. What is the value of the seventh
term?

Number of students 4 8 10 9 5 2
7. The table below shows prices of Items and their weights in the year 2005 and 2009.
Use 2005 as the base year, calculate the weighted aggregate price index for 2009.
8. A train starts from rest at station A and accelerates uniformly at 2ms-2 for 5 seconds
and moves at a constant speed for 6 seconds and decelerates uniformly to rest for 4
seconds to station B. Find the total distance covered by the train.

13. A car initially moving at a speed of 80ms-1 decelerates uniformly and attains a
velocity of 40ms-1 for 205 and comes to rest in the next 30s. Sketch a velocity time graph
and use it to calculate the average velocity.
Forces of magnitude 2√2N, 4N and 6N act on a body at angles 40o, 240o and 330 with the
positive x-axis. Draw a clear force diagram and use it to find the magnitude of the
resultant force and its direction.
