Programme Overview
The Executive Post Graduate Programme (EPGP) in Management for Working Professionals
is a two-year programme comprising 750 hours of classroom instruction delivered over an
Interactive Learning (IL) platform, and includes 3 weeks of in-campus modules.
With a curriculum design that reflects the best of management theory and practice, the
objective of the programme is to impart management education with a global outlook. The
innovative curriculum and proven pedagogy will enable participants to leverage the
knowledge and skills gained to enhance their performance in the real world.

computer-based simulations, projects, assignments, class presentations, quizzes, etc.

Programme Content
The duration of the EPGP in Management is Two Academic Years, split into Seven Quarters,
and further structured across Three Modules.
The first year of the programme is divided into Four Quarters. The first year
contributes towards compulsory core courses covered in 380 hours of instruction, of
which, approximately 30 hours are based on an in-campus module of one-week
duration conducted at the IIM Kozhikode campus, and the remaining is covered via live
lectures over the Interactive Learning (IL) platform.
The second year of the programme is divided into Three Quarters. The second year of
the curriculum contributes towards elective courses offered by various academic
areas. Participants should choose elective courses accounting for 28 credits in total (all
three Quarters put together) from a bouquet of courses from all subject areas to cover
280 hours of instruction.

In-Campus Modules*
The first module is conducted at the beginning of the first year, the second module is
conducted after the beginning of the second year, and the third module is conducted at the
end of the second year.
The three in-campus modules provide all participants a case-based learning perspective;
a foundation for analytical thinking; and orient them to the learning culture of IIM
Kozhikode; besides discussions on contemporary issues in management practice and
trends in the industry and business.
Participants are expected to make their own arrangements for travel and stay during the
in-campus modules. Accommodation within the campus is facilitated, subject to the
availability of rooms during the in-campus modules, on direct payment to the guest house.
Programme Delivery

facilitate learning via two-way audio/video
synchronous telecommunication mode. The
technology allows instructors to use slide
presentations, video, audio, whiteboards,
etc., to effectively communicate ideas and
interact with participants.

‘Your Programme, Your Preference’
IIM Kozhikode (IIMK) offers participants an option where working executives from across
India can choose from the two different sessions of delivery available.
The above schedule is for the first year of the programme. Classes of elective courses in the
second year are conducted on the following days for the respective elective topics.
Note: Class schedule mentioned is subject to change and IIMK reserves all rights to change the
schedule as per the programme requirement.
Assessment
There will be various assessments and evaluations for each course, including end-term
examinations (after each quarter), quizzes, assignments, projects, etc.
For each course, the instructor awards Letter Grades to participants based on the academic
performance and evaluation scheme. IIMK follows a grading scheme of 13 levels ranging
from A+ to F as given below.

Eligibility
A bachelor's degree* or its equivalent in any discipline with minimum 50% aggregate marks
or equivalent CGPA.
The degree obtained from a foreign University subject to producing the equivalency
certificate from AIU (Association of Indian Universities) or any Govt. of India approved
assessment agency, or an Indian University approved by UGC along with the proof of
aggregate percentage of marks obtained in the programme completed.
*Bachelor’s degree awarded by any of the Universities incorporated by an act of the central
or state legislature in India or other educational institutions established by an act of
Parliament or declared to be deemed as a University under Section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956
(Click here for the list of universities) or possess an equivalent qualification recognised by the
Ministry of HRD, Government of India. The percentage of marks obtained by the candidate in
the bachelor's degree would be calculated based on the practice followed by the
university/institution from where the candidate has obtained the degree. In case the
candidates are awarded grades/CGPA instead of marks, the conversion of grades/CGPA to
percentage of marks would be based on the procedure certified by the university/institution
from where they have obtained the bachelor's degree. In case the university/institution does
not have any scheme for converting CGPA into equivalent marks, the equivalence would be
established by dividing the candidate's CGPA by the maximum possible CGPA and multiplying
the result by 100.
**Work experience before completion of graduation will not be considered for eligibility (An
experience certificate issued by the current employer dated after the online application
submission date is necessary in the case of candidates who have exactly 3 years of work
experience while applying for the programme. In the case of candidates with more than
3 years of work experience while applying for the programme, latest experience certificate
along with other experience certificates justifying the 3 years will be sufficient. The date of
issue of the provisional certificate/original degree certificate/convocation date (whichever is
earlier) will be considered as the date of graduation to calculate the work experience after
the graduation.

Reservation Policy
IIMK follows the Government of India reservation policy applicable to Central Educational
Institutions (CEIs) for admission to the Executive Post Graduate Programme in Management.
The minimum eligibility criteria adopted by IIMK in the admissions for the Executive Post
Graduate Programme in Management is given below:
Minimum work experience required to apply for the programme remains 3 years for all
candidates irrespective of the category under which the candidate is applying. The candidate
should possess the latest OBC (Non-Creamy layer) certificate/EWS (Economically Weaker
Section) Certificate/Caste Certificate, issued after 30.04.2021 while applying. Request for
changing the category will not be considered after submitting the application online.

Selection & Admission Process
IIMK adopts a two-stage selection process for its admissions to the EPGP 2023-2025 batch.
The details of the these stages are given below.
EMAT score is considered only as one of the criteria for selecting the candidates. Those
applicants who satisfy the minimum cut-off as per the following table will be considered
eligible for the next stage of selection process.

B. Personal Interview
The candidate will be interviewed by a panel of faculty from IIMK. The scores of the
interview process will be standardised to offset the panel differences. The minimum cut-off
for the interview based on the standardised marks is given below.
Admission will be based on a merit list prepared with applicants fulfilling the above criteria (A)
& (B). Securing only minimum score in (A) OR (B) above does not entail admission.
Any dispute concerning Admissions for the EPGP Batch of 2023-2025 would be subject to
jurisdiction of competent Courts within Kozhikode only.

Fee Structure & Payment Schedule
Application Fee
All candidates applying for the EPGP in Management for Working Professionals are required
to pay a non-refundable application fee of `2,000/- online, using Net Banking, Credit Card or
Debit Card. Payment through any other mode is not acceptable. The application fee, once
paid, is not refundable or adjustable under any circumstances.
*Applications received without payment of application fee will be rejected.
Programme Fee
Programme fee (Non-Refundable) of ₹14,00,000/- to be paid in seven instalments during the
programme as per the following schedule. Programme fee will be collected from the
participants before the commencement of each quarter and actual due dates will be
intimated during the programme according to the programme schedule. Programme fee
doesn’t include the logistics expense to attend the three campus visits during
the programme.

Alumni Fee (Non-Refundable): ₹10,000/- to be paid along with the 5th instalment.

Important information
1) Candidates are advised to go through the programme details, eligibility criteria
and instructions to fill the application form before registering online.
a. Register online with the basic information. On successful registration, the candidate will
receive the application number on her/his registered email id and mobile number.
b. Please log in to the application portal using the application number, email and password
generated during the registration and complete the application fee payment.
c. After successful payment of application fee, the candidate can complete the application
form and submit online within 7 days after the application fee payment.
d. After successful submission of the application form, candidate is required to upload the
scanned copy of the original academic qualifications and work experience documents in
the portal. This is a mandatory requirement.
e. Candidates are required to take a printout of the application form and retain it with them.

i. 10th/SSLC Certificate & Mark Sheet.
ii. Pre-Degree/Plus-Two/HSC/VHSC Mark Sheet & Certificate.
iii. Degree mark sheet of all years/semesters & Original Degree Certificate. If the original
degree certificate is not collected from the university, provisional certificate along
with undertaking to produce the original certificate is required.
b. Original experience certificates for all the employment details submitted in the
application form. Experience certificate justifying the 3 years of work experience after
graduation is mandatory.
Candidates failing to produce the required documents (a-d) will not be permitted to appear in
the EMAT & Personal Interview.
